Yes of course, the internet has became somewhat of a necessity in the average household. It strengthens business communities because you could communicate with people easily through email accross the world and describe your porduct(s) to them, maybe even give pictures. For education, people have now come up with websites that can easily tutor students who are having trouble in a class. Not only that, you can get online degrees now, too. As, for sports, people can now read updated sites that allow them to read about their favorite sports, and can even watch re-runs of some of the games if they like. Personally, people can communicate with eachother and send messages accross the world to friends in a matter of seconds through email.
However, some people that you communicate with are not trying to buy your product, or just chat with you. They are trying to obtain any information that can allow them to trace you. Then, if they find you, I think you know the rest. So, although internet does indeed strengthen the world and bring its countries closer together, it is important to know who you are associating with.
