Great topic. I loved loved loved loved that movie, and it's very underrated, baghban was a great movie with great message. It made me emotional and not many movies make me emotional.
The songs were good too.

Love this film but how is it underated? Correct me if I'm wrong it was both a critical and financial success?

It is not underrated. It was a hit and won so many awards!
I loved this film. Have watched it with family in theatre when it released.

There were some senior citizens in a row in front of us. They were so moved by this film. The final speech by Amitabh got lot of applause.
That is one instance in my experience that shows what impact movies have.

The way those oldies were cheering and discussing the film, we were amused seeing them. But later it turned out that group of old persons had come from an old age home. I felt sad for them.

Even those in 40s felt moved by Baghban...thinking it reflects what they would also have to go through in old age. Some had guilt of treating their parents in similar way.

Baghban touched audience. I think I also felt more sensitive towards my grandparents after watching this film.

Amitabh-Hema made a great pair.

I hate a couple of regressive dialogues in this film. But overall it's a very nice, genuine film.
