I think Varun Dhawan is going to be type cast in comedic roles. That's why some articles where Coining him the new Govinda.

Seems like it. I don't think I could picture Varun doing something like Highway. Or even Ek Villian.

Roles offered going to be limited.

Maybe not.

Rohan was an arrogant, hot headed yet soft guy with parental issues. Seenu was a naughty brat. How were the two characters similar is beyond me. You just pointed out how different Abhimaniyu and Nikhil were, that's why I'm saying, if you fail to observe that SOTY and MTH were poles apart roles for Varun, then I'd say the same goes for Sid in SOTY and HTP. I can see the difference between the characters Sid played, similarly people should see the difference between the characters Varun played even if the films genres are similar.

I can only talk about Nikhil and Abhimanyu cuz I have seen both HTP and SOTY..I dont know about how Seenu was as a character,but I go by your view..they might have had fundamental differences...My point is Varun didnt defend his choices of roles when the reported told him he is doing similar roles repeatedly..he mentioned he is happy he was able to entertain ppl more than Sid and Alia.Anyways If he intends to make a difference and be versatile,it would be seen in his new movie with Sriram.He said ABCD and Sriram movie are different from what he has done till now in the interview as well

Yah I get your point now. He said he likes entertaining people, even his dad tells him to do films that make people happy. Are you referring to the interview where Varun stated that all 3 of them achieved what they wanted. Sid and Alia wanted criticial appreciation they received that whereas he wanted commercial success and he got that too?

Sidhharth and Alia!! Both have establihed themselves quite a lot!! Both have improved tons in acting too !! Where Varun is yet to improve sooo much!! He is doing and getting same type of roles!!
