I agree. Although Soham has done a lot of bad things, a lot of it is due to the circumstances surrounding him. If he hadn't been kidnapped, he probably would have been a successful businessman or lawyer too.
If Gauri's marriage wasn't set with his brother, or at least if they hadn't rushed the wedding and allowed some time for Soham to come to terms with things, he wouldn't have kidnapped Gauri and taken such drastic measures. They didn't even give Soham a chance to change fully. Most of his family didn't accept him readily and he had to go through a lot in his life. Even now, he's not a happy man.The Deshmukhs have barely done anything for him throughout life. In fact he's only spent 3-4 years of his entire life with him. The time he has spent with them hasn't been a positive experience either.I do hope his children still support their dad and stick up for him. They should realize that a lot of factors shaped their dad to the way he is now. I hope they don't blindly support their newly found family over their father. Their dad didn't separate from his family without reason.Ankita and Mansi/Shashank weren't shown in the Deshmukh home so maybe they will stay with Soham until he accepts his family.

The Deshmukhs are no way responsible for Soham actions. It was not due to circumstances that Soham kidnapped and killed Gauri. Soham choose to do that. Gauri did not love him back. And instead of behaving like a rational person, he behaved like a psychopath and tried to force the girl to be w him. He made that choice. Could the Deshmukhs have pushed back the wedding? Sure, but that does not excuse the violent path that Soham choose to take. At that point he knew better because he had lived w the Deshmukhs and knew a different way of life than cheating and stealing. He had the opprutinuty to become a better person and choose not to take that route.Plenty of people grow up troubled. They do not become murderers. Soham went ahead and did the same thing to his children that the Deshmukhs did to him. He deprived them of a decent life. They didnt become violent. If Soham wants the respect of a father, he should act like one. And the children should not enable his behavior. They should not suffer bc their sperm donor decides to be mad at people who can provide and are willing to accept the duties of family that Soham has failed to provide.

I see your point of view on this and do agree to an extent. But think of it this way, Soham was a child when he was kidnapped by Varsha. Then he grew up for 18 years under Balan, a goon. That kind of upbringing doesn't get reversed by spending a few months with your real family. Even with his real family only a few people like Archana and Purvi fully supported him. Manav hid his affection which only damaged his relationship with his son. Sachin and Soham never had a good relationship. Even his grandmother Savita didn't accept him until later on. Think of how that psychologically affected him. Even though he was a family member many of them didn't see things from his perspective and were quick to insult or go against him. He couldn't feel attached to a family member if they didn't let him.Gauri was his first love. He changed the most due to her. Even today he said he changed from Vishnu lala to Soham due to Gauri. He cared for her immensely and spent more time with her than Sachin had with Gauri. It was natural for him to feel that the marriage proposal was for him and Gauri. I'm not dismissing Gauri's choice. She definitely had the right to choose who she wanted to live with. I don't remember exactly but I think she was pretty gentle in explaining to him that she wasn't interested in him and so she can't be blamed. At that point, Soham was losing the person he had grown so fond of and started to live for. Once people found out that he loved Gauri, they could have helped him see things from a rational view but he was just insulted about his lack of education and rash behavior (which again goes to the 18 years he had lived that kind of life).I think he acted out of desperation and made a terrible choice to shoot at Sachin and ultimately hit Gauri. That was a fatal mistake and I do think he should be held responsible for her death. Even after shooting her, she would have had the chance to survive if she had been taken to a hospital and not kidnapped by Soham.I'm also surprised he didn't choose to be a better father toward his children knowing that he hadn't had that sort of affection himself. Perhaps he didn't know how to be one since that had never been modeled to him whether it was from Balan or Manav.
