I don't think Imran will bounce back. Shahid - you know even with Haider, I don't think his ranking is gonna change much. ARK - I don't know why but I hardly hear anything about this guy... but I don't think he's gonna be anything as big as he was in Aashiqui 2 ever again. Just a feeling, I'd love if he'd prove me wrong and he does have backing by UTV's SRK. I mean if Kunal Roy Kapoor can get roles then so can he.

The current lot - Varun, Arjun, Sid, Alia, Pari, Shraddha, Sona will still be there me thinks. They have bright futures.

From amongst the batch of newbies currently, I think it's Saquib Salim and Pulkit Samrat. Saquib is getting almost no backing from YRF. He hasn't got even one mainstream role from their main banner (his roles were by Y films under YRF banner, not the main banner itself). Unless he branches out, auditions and grabs the one project that makes him come in the spotlight, I don't see how he will make it to even 2-3 years more.
Pulkit unfortunately isn't doing well inspite of backing from Salman, and he has been rejecting films outside or acting pricey. He doesn't have that one film which could help him get into spotlight, a film whose success he could piggyback on further. Salman drops his protegees too if he feels they are not going anywhere. Lots of examples.
Both these actors need to be aggressive and go out there, audition and get some solid projects if they want to last.

Vidyut too is stuck in an image and limited roles but he has been getting offers and he seems okay with taking interesting supporting roles so he will stay for sometime at least. Plus he has been accepted by the audience so far and Commando brought him into the spotlight.

Amongst the girls, it's Esha Gupta, Tamannah, Asin (She's already on her way out) Yami, Rhea chakraborty, Sasha (is she already out?) etc.

The rest of the popular/successful newbies (the ones who feature on the polls in the forum) are all gonna stay at least uptil 2017. Yes, even Ayushman. Reason? There are lots of films, actors are required for those films, and the newbies have gained a tempo with the audience and the industry people and media now- people know them. They have enough fame to piggy back on, and they will eventually get accomodated in some project or the other and stay on for at least 2-3 years more, I feel, and can even turn the tables to get back in the race with full force. Ditto with the girls. All the popular newbies have some mentors or PH backing them, even outsiders like Sid, Ayushman and SSR have KJo, Shoojit Sarcar/John and YRF respectively. (Rajkumar Rao has the Phantom guys and anyway he has a National award so he's defo staying). That is enough to sustain them till 2017 at least.

lol

Madhuri should have become ghost after that item number. I mean what were Ayan and KJo thinking when they decided to do a mother-son item number with lyrics sounding Viagra.
