Holiday is biggest hit of the year

Director A. R. Murugadoss, Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha have added another feather to their caps. The lately released action drama Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty has emerged as 2014s Highest Grosser, after beating Salman Khan's Jai Ho.

Holiday added some more moolah in its kitty during its 4th Friday and 4th Saturday at the Domestic Box Office and now stands at a total of 111.25 crores so far. Jai Ho, which made a lifetime business of 111 crores at the Box Office, is now at the 2nd position at Koimoi's compilation of Top 10 Highest Grossing Films of 2014.

Holiday fared very good at the India Box Office till now, however, it will end its box office journey by the end of its 4th week at the Box Office.

Both had a lame music album, buzz was average, serious story (haven't seen JH but going by the claims of people here). YET Holiday did better. Some people like to compare these two stars, so here you go. In your face! I am not saying Akshay is bigger or whatsoever, but give credit where its due.. 😛

i think holiday cost was much less than jai ho.

the success of holiday shows that india public like the fight against terrorism and want to destroy the sleeper cells by the hands of military or mumbai police.
