I am sure that if something like this were to happen in a real joint family, the men would probably keep the women out of the matter and turn in somebody who is a murderer and child-kidnapper to the police by now. Nobody would keep them in their house and then plot a trap for revenge. But then again there isn't a lot reality in TV dramas as a whole.

It is the most dysfunctional family that we get to see in SNS- Urmi and Kinjal are husband bashers; gopi is a dust pan collecting the dust off Ahem's shoes, Rashi is the time poor wife busy with kalakari, Koki is the stare queen and Hetal is the door mop. the men are the speechless zombies who sometimes open their mouth to say a word or two or just say Chup, bikul chup. Earlier we got conversations in the family and it was highly interesting, now i think the CVs have given up on their story.
