Do you think they'll ever do that? Personally, I think their EGOS are way too big to play father figure to the likes of Alia or any of the other young actors. Not just the Khans, but Akshay, Sunny and Ajay too?

Did any of the yesteryear actors do that when they were in their late 50s? I can't think of any of the big stars but Amjad played father to Amitabh. 😆

Aamir played a father in Talaash
SRK in ra.one
Salman in Bodyguard (although for a short period)
.
I think they would rather retire than play father to the younger actors 😆

Not anytime soon...I mean they are getting paid to be the leads in movies with heroines that look young enough to be their daughters...so why would they want to play fathers? 😆

Not for another 10 years .. because in another 4 years, the younger lot would have taken over and then it will take another 2-3 years for Khans/Akshay/Ajay's films to flop and the offers to dry up. Then they will go into semi-retirement (delusion) waiting for something to be offered to them or maybe will produce some films for themselves. When all that will flop, they will go through the sad phase and sooner or later face the truth that it is time to be a papa on screen. And then some of them will act as father figures and some will retire.
The major difference between earlier oldies and the current oldies is that the current oldies have made an obscene amount of money through endorsements or the partnerships that they've had with the production houses that make films for them. So they can afford to continue running their production houses (unlike AB who lost all the money way too soon in PH). So they need not wait for anyone to offer films to them. They would instead make films for themselves. If required, they will act as fathers in their self-produced films (maybe have their own kids star in those films). Once one oldie is accepted and celebrated by audience in the father's role, all of them will follow the bandwagon and want compliments of how handsome they look even in old age.

Aamir in Talaash. Kid has impact on character.
Even Sallu in Bodyguard towards the end. of a nerdy little kid 😆.

ETA: Oops..misunderstood the question. As long as they don't play lover to Alia and Pari I am ok..already Nawab and Pari are playing lovers and 🤢

They could play a father like Liam Neeson did in Taken, but none of them are half as cool as Liam.
