Actor Sachin Tyagi on bringing up his daughters alone and his passion for driving endlessly
ACTOR Sachin Tyagi is on a new high after his entry breathed fresh life into 'Kaajjal - Sabbki Ankhon Mein Basi' (Sony); the second daily soap he is doing at the moment. Sachin plays Aditya Garewal, a kindhearted musician in the serial. Quite like his real self ?
A lesser known fact about Sachin is that he is also a professional signer. But now, he is more active on the acting front. Ask him why singing took a backseat and he says, "I was interested in both singing and acting. But it is difficult to juggle both careers. "
On how satisfied he is with the roles he has got to play he says, "Man by nature is greedy. But I have nothing to complain as I have been accepted by the industry.. Whereas, there could be someone who maybe better than me but is still struggling to get a foothold in the industry.. "
So how much does he associate with the current programming trend? Sachin says, "I prefer the weekly trend. That allows everyone enough creative time to develop and execute their stories. With daily soaps becoming the order of the day, television is becoming routine. I don't know any actor who sleeps enough."
Incidentally, Sachin is not seen in the party circuit.
Quiz him about that and he says, "I don't go to parties ebcause I don't drink or smoke. People meet the same set of people who they don't talk to in the day. And after a few pegs down their throats they start hugging and screaming."
Sachin has been a private person. Not much is known about his personal life except that he is a single father raising two daughters.
"That is because it's my personal life. And I do not understand media interest in it. But aren't single fathers normal people?," he asks.
Sachin reveals his maverick side as he shares his passion for driving. "I have driven at least 50,000 kms by road and traveled to 10 to 12 Indian states by car. I have often dropped people to Goa and comeback the next morning just because I yearned to drive."
So what is his mantra in life to face the challenges it throws? Sachin optimistically maintains, "I don't know what keeps me going but I want to live for long.
No matter how bitter or tough it is, I feel there is nothing like life. "
