I may not agree with JA's comments - but I do feel that a good lyricist need not be a singer but most definitely has to understand rhythm, pitch et al. How can he right lyrics to a tune if he doesn't know how to set the words to it? The musicians and the lyricist have to work very closely to do this. Also let's not forget that he has been writing lyrics for ages now - if not anything else his ears are now trained to listen to the finer qualities of music. This is what methinks - don't mean to offend anyone!! 😃

Judges are all biased so even if they have a good understanding of music, it does mean their comments are correct.
JA saab is the most balanced judge from the lot.
I agree, there were times during FG where his judgment was questionable but thats the case with all judges.

totally agreeed....he is the best outa 4.....
