The wait is finally over for Mahima Chaudhary and her husband Bobby Mukherji. The actress has given birth to a healthy baby girl, who weighs seven pounds, at 11. 55 am on Sunday morning at Lilavati Hospital.

Mahima married Bobby Mukherji in Las Vegas on March 19 and her pregnancy has been under public scrutiny for a while. Bobby Mukherji, who was holidaying with his two sons from his first marriage rushed into the city on Saturday evening, as Mahima was admitted to the hospital before the due date. He is also happy as he was keen to have a baby girl. He was with Mahima all morning, giving her the much-needed support as she delivered the baby.

Bobby says, "As you know, I was really looking forward to having a baby girl. So, I am feeling great as my dream has come true."

Commenting on the baby's name, Bobby says, "We haven't decided anything as yet. Well Mahima and I will sit and decide her name in a couple of days."

As for Mahima's family, her sister had flown down with her newborn son's outfits for Mahima's baby over the weekend.

The actress has been shifted to a private room with her newborn girl. Sources indicate that Mahima has not been keeping well and has been under observation. "Mahima is reported to be terribly sick after the delivery. She is under the care of a well-known gynecologist," says our reliable source. Bobby and Mahima will move into a new apartment with the baby.

As Bobby is an architect, he is looking into every detail of design of their new home in the suburbs. He says, "I am currently busy making a beautiful house for our baby. I am doing up the house very thoughtfully and carefully. The place is under construction and we will move there as soon as it is ready. The baby's room will be a fantasy come true for children."

Bobby is still awaiting the court verdict for the custody of his two sons. He says, "My sons haven't met the baby but they do know that she has come and they are very excited to meet her. Mahima's and my parents are also very thrilled with this news."

The couple will have a formal ceremony on the 11th day. But now, the actress, whose career has been on hold for some time, is back in the news with the birth of her baby. And she is Bollywood's latest yummy mummy!
