Beli3ve In Love- Be Alright
So today is the birthday of my dear friend Kriti.. And Kriti, this is your bday gift from me. Hope you like it.
This is her bday thread, do wish her.

"How dare you back answer me Sanyukta! " he said rasing his hand on her.
He thought he would easily reach for her cheek and leave an imprint that would remind her of this day and the guts she potrayed. Standing in her college he was acting like it was their bedroom and she, his helpless slave.
Chasing your own dreams isn't a cake walk and she had the guts to take that risk. Those who risk things are those who win she thought. It didn't take her a second thought to lift her hand against his and oppose him.
" I don't know who taught you this. I think your dad does this to your mom. But neither am I your wife nor are you my dad. This time I held your hand and opposed you but the next time, when I would be doing the same to you, there wouldn't be anyone opposing me. " she said glaring at him.
He was shocked at her behaviour. He expected her to abide by him and never raise a voice against him but it was the other way round. She was the one speaking and he shut his mouth. He was taken aback beyond life.
She glared him for one last time and walked past him leaving him appalled. He took some minutes to grace back to reality. He definitely wanted to get back at her but how and what he was going to do, nobody knew. He left the college in anguish. Sameer, Sanyukta's so called fiance was the women's-place-is-near-her-man's-feet kinda guy. In short, A Pain In The Ass!
Sanyukta ran back to the mechanical lab and continued working on the fourth task of the tech fest going on in their college. Sameer knew the truth that she studied here but her parents don't know yet that she revealed this fact to him. And he had all the reasons and idiocy to go and tell this to her parents.
If engineering was her love, passion, life and everything then her family was no less important. These thoughts and fears manipulated her focus. She wanted to win the task and the fest finally. Being the captain she wanted to make her college and teachers proud. But FITE lost the fourth task. It was Sanyukta's fault. Call it pressure or lack of concentration or fear or anything but they lost.
She was broken and was ready to leave the captaincy, engineering, passion everything behind her. She accused herself as a loser. She was ready to take any idiotic decision that struck her mind. She would end up doing something stupid if he didn't come to her rescue. Randhir.
He was her biggest enemy yet he cared for her like nobody ever did,
He has a past that stabs him deeper everytime he gets reminded of it yet he treated her problems like his.
He can't curb the inexplicable feeling of wanting to yell at her whenever she moves closely with someone yet he can never trust her with anyone else.
He is all a girl dearly wants yet all he wants is her happiness and her.
She embraced him not able to hold her shattered self and he effortlessly gathered her when he embraced her back with all his love and might.
His way of consoling people goes above the heads of a normal man. Maybe thats why words fail him whenever he stands in front of her, the person he loves the most.
Next day, was the last which would mark the end of the tech fest. The task was not that easy to watch and not at all when it has to be performed. Sanyukta took the biggest risk of her life. We can say that cuz this time she, risked her life. There was no way Randhir could compromise with this. She trusted her life in his hands and he had to save her life, invisibly entwined with his.
The wooden plank started moving from its place. She was preparing herself for the fall and in her dorm room somebody was calling her number.
Every second felt like a millenium as the plank moved slowly from its place. And inside her room her mobile was vibrating for god knows how many times.
The pulley rolled and the plank swept her off the surface. She was in the air falling down not knowing which breath would be her last. She touched the trampuline surface and yet was not sure of her life. Randhir slowly opened his eyes and sighed a relief watching her safely land on the trampuline. He released the springs from his hands. She slowly fluttered her eyes open. It took time for her to realise that she landed safe and that she was breathing then. She slowly sat up as she absorbed the fact that FITE won the task and also the tech fest. The fear that accumulated in her slowly started coming out in the form of tears. She saw that pride in Vardhaan's eyes. Randhir was standing right beside not taking his eyes off her.
" Another time you do such stupidity Sanyukta,,, " he said and walked out with that fear still in his eyes.
Kaustuki slowly helped Sanyukta out of the trampuline and took her to their dorm room. Sanyukta sat down on her bed her chest still heaving. She re-thinked those moments up on the plank, when she was in the air and finally when she landed. There was one pair of eyes that showed that he was proud of his choice and there was another that had fear.. fear of losing something precious. The latter ones bothered her more.
"Randhir... " she said slowly. She wanted to thank him. But she was not in a position to walk all the way till the boys hostel so she decided to message him.
She took her mobile and as she switched on the screen she saw 5 missed calls from her brother.
" Did something happen to dad ? "
" Did Sameer tell them everything? "
" Why did Bhai call me these many times and that too now? " she thought.
Her fingers trembled as she dialed her brother's number.
" Hello " she said her voice shaking.
" Sanyukta, I called to tell you that you are coming home asap and I don't care what important works you have in your college. "
" Why Bhai? What happened? Hows dad? Did something happen to.. "
" Dad is alright. Its just that your engagement has been fixed Sanyukta so come asap. "
" But Bhai.. "
" Im not listening to anything " he said and cut the call.
" I suppose you got a call from your house Sanyukta.. I hope you are coming for the engagement. You have no other choice. Cuz you know what I will do if you wont . Take care. Love you." said that message from Sameer.
It was the felicitation ceremony the next day and she would be called on the dais to collect the trophy on behalf of her team and college and here she was packing her bags to leave then.
She told none about this, not even Kaustuki. If she did then Kaustuki would never let her leave. Everybody was seated in the auditorium for the felicitation ceremony to begin. And Sanyukta was nowhere to be seen.
" And the winner is FITE!!! I call upon the stage, the captain of FITE, Sanyukta Agarwal to collect the trophy. " said Professor PKC.
Sanyukta was not there in the auditorium. Randhir, Parth and Kaustuki went in search of her. They rounded the whole college but she was no where visible,. Then Randhir spotted her at the entrance gate of the college with luggage and bags in her hands.
He ran towards her to stop her but she, took an auto and felt the place before Randhir reached the gate. It was obvious that she was going to her house and something happened there again.
She reached her house in the matter of some hours. She went upstairs to her room and bolted it from the inside. She didn't talk to anyone, not even her mom. She sat on the bed with head in her hands and she weeped.
She left her college and came here for her engagement with the person she would never want to be.
" Sanyukta, dinner karna hain, neeche aajao " said her mom.
She wiped the tears off her cheeks and went downstairs. She ate very little and went back upstairs not saying a word.
She switched on her mobile after 5 hours. '3 missed calls from Randhir' it beeped.
She looked at the name that displayed on her mobile. She caressed it with her thumb and held her mobile tight as she wailed once again.

And there in FITE, in the boys hostel, somebody was punching the punch bag ever so hard this time for a reason unknown to him.
" Mein kuch nahi karsakti ... Its all over. I shouldn't have accepted this captaincy at all. Im a loser. "
These words that pierced his heart were now playing in his mind again. He knew she wasn't right when she said that.
" I hope Sanyukta is fine. " he said to himself holding his punch bag in place.

Sanyukta slipped under her covers still not able to stop the tears flowing from her eyes. She held those covers tight and tossed in her bed. Sleep seems something very far off now.
" Sanyukta, tum nahi jaogi. Sahil ko bhejenge. Tum upar nahi jaogi. "
She knew he was afraid of losing her and he couldn't accept that fact. She loved it when he showered her with this much concern but she always failed to tell him this. The solace she found in his presence was beyond words and all of a sudden she feels everything is just normal and smooth.
Randhir switched off the lights to get some sleep. He was just not able to take her off his mind. He closed his eyes and opened them again. He felt like he would never see her if he would close his eyes.

The next morning, Sanyukta was told that its her engagement this evening. She was asked to dress up beautifully for the bride-groom. All these talks frustrated her. She felt disgusting about herself.
She stomped towards her room. She didn't wanted to get ready. She held the lehnga lying on her bed. She looked at it and flinged it across her bed and broke into tears once again.
She knew there was no way she could escape this today
She felt a sudden breeze caress her hair. She slowly lifted her head and turned back.
Randhir.

She stood up not averting her gaze from him. The sight that stood in front of her made her cry even more. She saw tears brimming in his eyes too.
" Randhir... " she said as he wiped the lone tear that escaped his eye,.
He took a step forward and she ran towards him embracing him fiercely.

He held her evn tighter and let her weep into him. He absorbed all her tears taking away her pain. He slowly soothed her back. He tried breaking the embrace to look at her but she didn't let him go.
" Randhir... I... "
" Shhh... Sanyukta.. "
" I love you. "
He stepped back and cupped her face. He bent in and kissed her cheek as she blushed a light crimson.
" I always did and I always will. " he said.
