A lady gifted Pragya with a pot of Kumkum at the reception party.

Although it is Pragya who will traditionally wear Kumkum, whose Bhagya (fortune) it actually is?

Pragya's husband Abhi is in trouble right now. He loves his people dearly and can go to any extent to be there for them, but the same people have put him in an alarming situation.

He is miffed with his best friend, who took care of his earnings, over a trust issue. He has a bunch of money diggers living in his house in the name of his relatives. And he has a sister with an evil side routing him to a path of sin for her personal gain. Of course there is a beautiful girlfriend who has handed him over to another woman on a silver platter.

The day will come soon, when Abhi has to pay for his sister's mistakes and assumptions. He foolishly believed her and overtly loved her and she got him to do impossible things. But when the truth emerges, it is not her, he will be the one who has to answer. He will be the one who needs to be responsible for planning to destroy an innocent girl's life and hurting her to his best. And he is up for the sad shock of realizing the dark side of his sister.

But he does have a Daadi who recognizes his issues and she has chosen a Bhagya for him.

And that Bhagya is Pragya.

Pragya will be his saviour. Pragya will bring him the fortunes that his money hasn't brought him. I believe when his world collapses with truth crushing him, and everyone turning away from him, she will be the one who will stand by him. Her kindness and goodness will give him hope. She will lead him to the light.

Abhi is lucky. He is lucky to have Pragya in his life. She is his Bhagya.

It is going to be difficult for Abhi to realize that Aaliya's character is so far from his own. As a big brother and near-orphan, I think he will feel a lot of responsibility for that. He will fight against himself when it comes to recognize the truth; he will deny and delay because he just won't want to believe that his sister could be so calculating and cruel. 😲

And then, as you say, he will have to reckon with himself for going along with it. If Abhi truly is as honorable as I believe he is, that will be a painful process. Pragya can help by being understanding and comforting...but only if he lets her, which maybe at first he won't because of the guilt. I envision a strong self-punishment arc that involves him pushing her away - which has the consequence of punishing her and the fans too! 😭

As for the leeches living with him...ahem, the relatives...yes, definitely part of his world that needs fixing. I'm interested to see whether Pragya can really make a difference...the show will always need villains though, even such minor ones as Taiji's Bahu, so I don't have much hope for their reformation 😕

Yes, she is still his baby sister. Hope she redeems at some point- I hope so for his sake.

That is to come. He will do all that you said. But I think Pragya will side him. She will understand him more than he thinks she would.

Daadi in one of the earlier episodes asks Abhi to bring a bahu who sets everyone right in this house. May be they do eventually get better.

Pragya definitely is a Bhagya that has been showered on Abhi, unasked for and unappreciated as of now. Daadi in her infinite wisdom has found Abhi a priceless gem. When he said to his friends on the day of the wedding that his daadi can never go wrong in finding him a life partner, he was unconsciously voicing what he will discover to be true in the coming epis.

Yes exactly so!! This is how I see the characters and their conflict. The fun will be in watching how Abhi and Pragya learn why they are right for each other, which I suppose will happen in fits and starts in between all kinds of melodrama as the story twists and turns.

@Tia Good point about Daadi's request, I remember that too. A buried seed for the story; before Pragya can set the house right, there's a MU to sort out and a nanaad to lead out of the darkness...😆

Abhi has been blurting out so many statements in sarcasm that are gonna come true later on.
