Ugh.. I'm going to unload all my thoughts on your post, wonderful post btw, I agree with everything you said. To be honest, I was not so fond of or impressed with ahil till recently. Part of the problem was the sometimes terrible dialogues they gave him and the little scree space and also a little time for character development sort of added to that. KVB is a brilliant actor, so I kept watching for him, but I was frustrated with ahil's character because KVB would seriously be amazing at showing multiple layers of a character, of which ahil was not given alot of/or they weren't exactly showing it. I felt like his character was restricted and there was little growth. Though, I still feel like it is a bit restricted, there is not complete freedom or surrender that I saw when KVB played prem while playing ahil. but, now I realize that this is the ghul khan way. Her heroes are always sort of closed off, not everything about them is out in the open, nor are they really allowed to spread their wings and show their emotional graph, so there is a bit of mystery involved in terms of their emotions and what they feel.

So, I guess now I get why ahil felt a bit restricted and somehow hard to connect with immediately. but, moving on to now, I'm absolutely loving the layers they are slowing showing in his character. That soft heart inside of that hard outside shell.. ugh. I love it when he shows care for sanam, but doesn't want her to know that he actually cares. I didn't believe rehaan's words about ahil before, but now I do. And now even if he takes a whole 360 turn just to ward of his feelings or fight his feelings, it won't throw the viewers off because it will be his defense mechanism, which will only make him more real, more human. The last two episodes have been wonderful for ahil's character growth and I seriously hope this growth is not ruined by advancing too fast, I want some angst, some resistance, some intense denial and most of all, some jealously. UGH. I seriously want so much of ahil now. He has grown on me immensely and when you have actor like KVB, that growth will be even more glorious to watch and appreciate. I just hope ghul khan does his character more justice.
