hi folks!

these days i just do not have the motivation of watching the episodes..before, watching JA used to be my priority, i used to go coffee break and start watching it rt away using starbucks wifi..now i go check updates and say forget it!...i come home still not motivated..finish all the work and then watch it just for the heck of it and not for entertainment, i get more entertained by reading sunny's comments than watching the show!

something has turned off and disconnected..lets start with butchering of characters..

-jalal..all he does is organize the date of meena bazaar and drools watching jodha play with rahim..then begs jodha to sleep with him only to be humiliated and turned down..! how illogical is that..! where is the charm of old jalal..where is the jalal who was as cunning as a fox and roared like a lion..! now all i see is a love sick puppy who sharpens his claws here and there gone unnoticed!..now i ask the cvz why cannot they show akbar being caring for his awaam by discussing with his ministers regarding their problems and how to resolve them rather than being dreamy in dek..why cannot he be shown strong and clever when needed..i do not want to see this jalal..i want to see an authoritative akbar who is a ruler in true sense and at the same time cares for his awaam...pl cvz work on the most important character of the show!..if he goes weak the show will collapse in no time!

-shehnaz..first of all i do not know if she had any link in history?..even if it is complete fiction then i fail to understand her characterization, and now this fake rape case will make her look more dumb and i do not think any of jalal's sisters would have done such a thing in real because it does not make any sense at all...! was her track necessary?..was she necessary?..why drag the serial and add meaningless tracks..i did rather watch quality than quantity!

-rukkya..she has been pushed to a vamp and thanks to all the NRs...now this latest fake preg track..how can one be so dumb to bring up the fake pregnancy and have no plan up the sleeve..how does this track fit anywhere in history..i do not know..but there should be a limit to NRs because these were real respectable characters!

-jodha..why is she shown as touch me not..sanskari romance! where she would prefer to do tel maalish of ruk than spend quality time with her husband..and since when has meena bazaar become so important that she refused to sleep with jalal her husband ..i cannot and will not understand such behavior at all..and why she is shown over dayalu and over trusting everyone that sheds tear..i am pretty sure the real jodha would have been much more sophisticated and graceful than this one!

-mahachuchak..i had pinned all my hopes on this one character..as it is i had no hope of perfect love nor romance from the couple in an epic love saga..but i had hoped that this one character will do something different and pull our interest back..but that too did not hit the nail..i was looking forward to some real politics..wars..some thrill and action but instead got a horror movie scenario with hansel and grettel back drop..as long as maham is there this crappy harem politics will not go away..a sample has already been shown where poor todarmal is accused..

now folks lets hope for a stronger jalal and some real politics, and i hope the cvz smarten up otherwise the show will go down the hill in no time the way its going..nothing new is being shown..touch me not romance puts me to sleep🥱..harem politics has overflown already and is still stuck in repeated preg/rape tracks but till when...?

I have a feeling that JA may end soon and that is why Ekta is not giving attention to it. There was no anniversary celebration, no inkling that the top rated serial of ZEE had just completed one year. If she believes that the serial has a limited time left, then obviously Ekta won't spare her best directors, her best technicians, her best CV's on this.

I hope my fears are unfounded but it is obvious that the present set of CV's is second rate. First that unbelievably idiotic Ruq pregnancy track, they soon realized that TRP's are falling, but they love the Ruq character too much, so Ruq is pardoned to the anger of most viewers. A bad situation made worse.

Now this ridiculous over the top portrayal of Mahachuchak's. For god sake that woman is a mughal queen, not Phoolan Devi.

And to top it all, the no touch romance policy of the leads. Here I blame both, it is very clear they just don't want to do it, as if even hint of physical romance in the serial will cause a divorce in the case of Paridhi and break up of the lovey dovey engagement in case of Rajat.

Remember that Jalal and Jodha sword fight episode last friday, it was so great, I could see a clear direction there, a path of growth for Jodha's character as has been for Jalal. But alas, we are back to Ruq love, and hugs that old married couples give each other. None of the magic of new romance.

The serial can still be salvaged, get the romance back, cut out Ruq, keep Maham, she is a classy villainess, and show growth in Jodha.

The ONLY thing wrong here seems to be the WRITERS and dialogue writers.

The actors are the same, the leads chemistry cannot go away.

Especially the scene where Jodha refused to spend the night with Jalal - it was ALL CVs and dialogue writers. Nothing to do with showing any romantic scene or intimacy. All Jodha had to say was yes and they could have ended the scene there.

The DEK scene if they had wanted to show Jalal look on at Jodha with love noticed by MH - they could have got Adga K to say his bits about Maan Singh war and AFTER that everybody leave since the darbar is barkhast and Jalal just sitting there on the throne looking at Jodha in a distance and MH teasing him that DEK is over! We could have been given the later scene without Jalal coming across as what he did!

The earlier Ruk character was far more interesting and gray than what they have done to her. To see her smirking and doing the same after the pardon by Jalal - clearly shows they have no intention of turning her gray again. In that case why the pardon - which is making every scene involving Ruk very hard to watch. People who watch on net just FF her scenes.

About the MahaC scene involving her daughter! Same scene could have been shown with her telling her daughter that Shehjadi's nikah are done for political reasons, for ensuring they can maintain their power and she could have teased her daughter saying trust your mother to know what is best for you.

That could have given the same meaning that she wants to use her daughter nikah for political advancement without turning MahaC totally devoid of feelings! Humayun it seems had number of kids with her! MH, AM's wife and this one! Surely they could have shown her cruel and power hungry without this kind of treatment! Does anybody see any royalty in her? She comes across Kabul's bandit queen!

Where is the downfall of MA? As always CVs showed ONLY her knowing all the secrets MA knowing about Shehnaz!

Why could they not show Jalal and Jodha stumble upon the truth of Shehnaz?

Why they cannot ever show Jalal and Jodha with brains?

I know you watch for Rajat and Akbar - I watch for Paridhi and Rajat both and JodhaAkbar both. The point is they are not satisfying anybody BUT only the fans of support actors!

I am wondering WHO were the writers for the first 100 odd episodes. Did they walk out with the 90 odd left after fight with SV and we are stuck with these writers?

It is painful to watch the serial which can be No.1 and has such an amazing chemistry between leads - who are always voted as best pair on TV - treated this way that CVs sideline them BUT glorify the vamps and villains.

Without having any knowledge of technical bits if we can come up with better treatment to scenes - why can't the CVs who are paid to do this job?

i've no complain with the actors they are doing there job good as per script

its the writting , directing & editing department which need to pull up there socks

i don't know what the Cvs up to they start many tracks same time then drag some of them beyond the limit & some track were ended incomplete😕
jashan, fake pregnancy ,new villian entry, meena bazaar
these are the most favorite tracks of cvs

it is sad to see a show which have so much scope had brilliant characters whether the leads or the villians the graph is falling day by day

the direction & editing is not up to the mark as least bearable i hope the upcoming fighting scenes are well shot enough of bloppers

The ONLY thing wrong with JA seems to be its writers. Who just seem to be bankrupt of any good ideas! So they have to revert to age old MA knows everything, she is the first one to get all the secrets!

They drag and drag horrible tracks but end the ones viewers enjoy! WHY????

Read my post reply here.

The scene about Jodha spending the night could have ended with Jodha saying yes simply. We did not have to be shown!

If they can show them hugging a lot, what else did they show on SR? They can show by implication.

The scenes which we remember which are memorable of JA did not have much physical closeness but the chemistry was oozing.

The writers are failing this serial BIG TIME. RT and PS will mouth what dialogues are given to them! I wish THEY protest about the treatment that is given to their characters, lead characters are butchered at the expense of support actors.

Yes the ending of Ruk track was bad. If they have turned her black then show justice meted out to her and maybe redeem her, no they just do not want to close any tracks cos they seem to not know how to now.

Seeing Ruk smirking again is getting everybody irritated, I can't stand to see her on screen like this.

I always wanted to see MA truth in front of Ruk for her to realize that she was used by MA and is the one who is responsible for her MC. It would be interesting to see how Ruk character shapes after that. I guess not going to happen!

I agree the second rate writers and CV's are pulling the serial down. There are so many interesting Stories they could show, I myself gave two ideas from the top of head.

As you say the parijat chemistry is superb, why not use it now to the fullest extant. This is the period for the epic part of the 'epic romance', once Salim comes romance will take a back seat.

Lavina is a superb actress, but nowadays her Ruq is almost intolerable on screen. Make her a full fledged villainess or redeem her, but do something about her.

I don't want Maham to go now, not as long as our new villainess is this ridiculous. Maham is a classy villain, she does evil things but with panache. All I want is that she lose a few times and everything is fine with me.

As for not getting that 'new love' feeling in the interaction of Rajat and Paridhi, let me tell you a story. Sometime back I started watching a series called Robin of Sherwood, a superb British drama full of action of suspense. I read about it in old archives, it is a 80 's show. The lead actor of this incredibly successful show had a yearning after series 2 to spread his wings, so he left the show to join a broadway production. The play was a total flop and cancelled after just one show. The lead actor wanted to come back to Robin of Sherwood, but by this time the makers had already roped in a new actor for the part. The series did not last long after that and that lead actor never did anything meaningful later in life.

My point, for both Rajat and Paridhi, Jodha Akbar maybe their swan song. Very few actors in TV are able to replicate their success in TV, and movies are a long way off. Whatever happens in the future, Paridhi may be remembered only as Jodha and it is in her interest to be the best Jodha possible. Even Rajat despite his young age my face many hurdles, and quite possibly Akbar is the most challenging and memorable character he is ever going to play.

Please, don't take shortcuts, think of your legacy.

Absolutely true. Even Smriti Irani is remembered for her first and memorable role.

Honestly for RT and PS both this is the best they might get.

I don't think they could be the problem here. The hugs they are showing seem ok to me. I don't want to get into all technicalities and distance and hand positions! The point is do you FEEL their love? Yes I do.

The memorable scenes for me recently were
Jodha brimming with pride and hugging Jalal after he is awarded Akbar title, not knowing how to show her happiness.

Jalal just going to Jodha after Ruk scene and putting his head on her shoulder and crying.

Jodha just sitting next to him holding him and telling him no thanks between husband and wife, she will always love him.

The scene where Jodha fed Jalal when he did not want to eat - even being the ruler of all he still craves for somebody to love him for himself, to care whether he has eaten or not.

The human side of their love story is so appealing to me.

Yes I can't bear watching Ruk on screen. When her scene comes on the episode just goes down a notch for me, I feel she might be leaking TRPs here.

What is the bankruptcy of ideas in showing the love story. The first 100 odd episodes were rocking.

I wish they show balance, this vamps and villains winning all the time, too much negativity and Jalal shown brainless is what is irking. Why can't Jalal EVER learn the truth and unravel the mystery and catch the culprits?

Why like the police come in last scene, they show Jalal learning last!

Do the CVs and writers understand that viewers watch for JodhaAkbar and NOT to watch the support cast. To show them getting upper hand 80% of the time and Jalal brainless they are distorting the balance.

Maddy, if you get a chance watch the series Robin of Sherwood. A superb series and the last episode of series 2 is the most emotional piece of drama that I have ever watched.

Absolutely agree with you, there was a phase when I shifted my 2 year olds dinner time to be able to watch JA in peace!!! And then watch the repeat telecast at 11. Now I just read the updates, don't feel the need to watch the show. Problem is right now the story is so jumbled up I don't think even CVs have a clear idea where to go. There is Maham, Ruk, Shehnaaz, hints of Abul Mali, sharif and Aadham, and now MacC and clan (wow that is the longest list of villains for a single show simultaneously, and each have their own agenda) there is hardly any scope for JO,JA and whatever moments they do have together first 10 seconds are about aap yahaan?.
Am sick of this nonsense, If the romance is running out of steam they can At least show growth on respective political fronts : Jodha starting to get involved in Siyasi work and all. With the current characterisation I frankly don't think she is even equipped to handle political work , with her overtly trusting and self sacrificing nature - who tho sultanate ko le doobegi!!!

Yah an Jo tho choddo, even Jalal has stopped focusing on work. His first order of business after becoming Akbar - Meena bazaar !!!

Now with introduction of MacC without closing Maham track they have made the show absolutely unbearable for me. And frankly this TM fake rape track is just too sick, I would rather see Sharif making a pass at Jo and getting caught ... At least I will get to see angry Jalal and self respecting fiery Jodha, with hints at war am sure Sharif will anyway rebel against Jalal so the whole Sharif , BB , JO , possessive Jalal hopes I had will fly out the window

Mandy dearest,

My considered advice is not to get your hopes up.

The 2/3 episodes of early last week were surprisingly well written and the Jalal-Jodha scenes were intelligent, appealing and beautiful. Now Newton's law of gravity has taken over, and that which went up has come down with a thud.

The scene of Jalal dreaming in the DEK scene ( a very poor adaption of the lovely one in the film) and his running after Mirza and his foolish babbling to Jodha thereafter - for all that Rajat was marvellous in his take on an embarrassed Jalal - was pathetic.

The Meena Bazaar - HOW many of them will they have in a single year? - run up is equally foolish, and I can bet Jalal is going to end up with a contraption on his head with a temple tower on one side and the minarets of a mosque on the other!😉 And babble about the newest hunar of his Jodha Begum.

Plus how many times can one watch a coy, simpering Jodha?

Mahachuchak is a huge disappointment; instead of a sleek, deadly, ambitious female, she looks and acts like a cross between a Russian mafioso and someone nasty out of The Godfather.Poor Mita Vasisht!

And the latest track promises to be the pits. It would need more of a confirmed optimist than I am to feel at all hopeful about what lies ahead. So do not say I did not warn you!
