Humshakals will be looking to open well as the promos have a fun feel around them and it is after a long time that a big comedy film is releasing.
The last big budget comedy film was probably Son Of Sardaar in 2012 which did well while 2013 saw no big budget comedy films though films like Grand Masti, Fukrey and Jolly LLB did good business. The fact that its a big budget comedy after a long time should help the film.
The multiplex audience all over apart from the Eastern circuit are very receptive to comedy films and this where Humshakals has chances of scoring well if the public takes to it. Housefull 2 a few years back sustained extremely well as the family audiences too to it and that audience will again be the key for Humshakals to put up a good final number.
