they did their part ..producing some awesome, talented singers in front of u ...but it's the audience who threw them away .... 😕

Good Analysis ... ur analysis is very objective, as I feel u r looking at this as a singing competition and donot carry any personal favorites ....
But, finally, I figured out that a fan (especially a die-hard fan) thinks differently ... A fan is so madly in love with that particular individual, that they cannot think objectively ... they r just blinded by their love ... if u argue that somebody doesn't sing well, they will counter u saying "choice of song was wrong .... actually he is a good singer" ... or "he is improving ... he will become better" or "this competition is abt total package .." ...
Hence, u cannot argue with them objectively/logically as they r in different plane .... And mind u, this competition is abt creating fan-base ... the bigger the fan-base, more the chances of u winning ... folks that r neutral will vote based on performance, but not fans ... they want to keep giving chances to their favorites till the last minute .... So, folks like u and me feel bad that singers like Shantanu have to leave at the expense of contestants like Suhit, but not Suhit's fans .... So, really don't expect some really talented singer to win this as singing talent has sometimes nothing to do with fan-base ....

About the fans... those who promote Suhit and have all of his siggies and avis, some only may have it for his looks, but admit that he is not the best singer in Indian Idol...

And also, it's our fault.. the viewers... now, janta seems to be voting for looks rather than talent (not saying that Suhit isn't talented), yet they make me happy and surprised when they vote Rehan in, because he deserves to be in.

It's the judges fault as well, they do more things and masti with Suhit than they do with Shantanu... definitely Shantanu is not promoted as much as Suhit is, and that's probably one of the reasons for the elimination..

There will be dramas and controversies Sonya .... if they r not there u'll find same people will be talking about how " boring" it is , that it lacks "punch" "masti" and what not ....but we audience just forget who sang best at the end of the day and vote for our "heartthrobs" .....and at this stage , it comes with a price ...had it been gala round, I would have understood but now it has started from top 28 and that's plain sad ......
