so Father & son childs' age difference was less.
Akbar daughter, 22 dec,1584,
Salim, daughter, 1586,
(surprising,😆 😆) (when child quarrels, Who side, whom,😆 😆)

Yeah..It must have been really funny. I also thought now. :))

Adding some info, i forgot to add yesterday. See these dates...

Birth of Aram Banu Begum - 22 December, 1584
Marriage of Salim with Man Bai(as per Akbarnama) - 16 February, 1585
Birth of Salim and Man Bai's daughter, Sultana-al-Nissa Begum - 26 April, 1586

As per Akbarnama, Volume-3, Pg-747 --->

"After the birth of this daughter of Man Bai, there were various rejoicings. The horoscope of this daughter according to the Greek method gave 18 degrees of Sagittarius and according to Hindu Method gave 1 degree 41 minutes. The enlightened sovereign, called her Sultana Khirad * , and contrary to the usage of contemporaries, had an assemblage to render thanksgivings. There was a great feast in the house of Maryam Makani, and there was a presentation of gifts, and there was largesse(bestowing gifts to the poor, like distributing 'Khairat' )."

Hamida Bano Begum(Maryam Makani) was very happy at the birth of this daughter. A feast(jashn) was ordered personally in her house, and this birth was celebrated with a huge pomp, especially by her.

* Khirad - It means a girl with 'intellect' ; In Hindi - 'aqal' ; and in Urdu - 'samaj' .

This shows that the birth of female child was welcomed by them, as they gave her this name, and celebrated the occasion with great pomp, with distribution of gifts among the poor. :)

Its Amazing,(Actually, Akbar child was born, very late, so this movement was happeir to family),
Hamida Bano Begum(Maryam Makani) was very happy at the birth of this daughter. A feast(jashn) was ordered personally in her house, and this birth was celebrated with a huge pomp, especially by her.
Great,
* Khirad - It means a girl with 'intellect' ; In Hindi - 'aqal' ; and in Urdu - 'samaj' .

Thanx a lot kamal, abhay, lizz n another one for giving us this valuable information.
Baap rai 10 kids of akbar n muz! Glad to know this royal couple were blessed with healthy number of progeny. its easily trust worthy how much they were entire with each other..
Simultaneously i m feeling woe to know as parents they faced agony many times to see their own kids death before their eyes..only parents can understand this terrible pain..
Btw, was daniyal more capable to be an emperor than salim?
Had akbar's will to make daniyal as next emperor?

Nabiii,

It was not about a will of Akbar. Daniyal, due to his brave stature, other qualities, military operations, tolerant and secular nature was considered the best to become the next Emperor, also he was initially brought up by the wife of Raja Bharmal and had a great backing of the Rajputs, the spine of Mughal empire. But he took to drinking in Deccan, after 1601. Akbar was 'broken beyond repair' at his death in 1604. In a short span, Akbar lost Daniyal, Hamida Bano Begum, and Gulbadan Begum. Murad had already died in 1599.

Also, Salim and Man Bai's son, Khusrau was considered a capable successor of Akbar. He had a ''GREAT GREAT'' support of the masses of Agra, and was close to Akbar too, due to his vibrant and over-all fine qualities, was a favorite of many people in the Mughal Court as well. It is said for him - 'His mere presence in the court was enough to spread positive vibes, and he had a rare ability to convert the adversities into his favor -- the quality which Akbar associated with himself'. He had a strong backing of Khan-i-Khanan Abdul Rahim, Farjand-e-Akbar Raja Man Singh, and Khan-e-Azam Mirza Aziz Koka. After his death, in the custody of Shah Jahan/Khurram, his body was first brought to Agra, later buried in Khusrau Bagh, in Allahabad. He was hailed a martyr, even equated to a saint by the masses, far and wide.!!!. Despite the fact that he remained in captivity for almost 15 years, his charm among the masses did not decrease. Even a shrine was constructed in Agra, by the people, who came from far off places to pay their respects to him after his death, the shrine was destroyed later.

TFS Abhay😊...I am on a different tangent... I mean, every parent would like their child to climb higher than their self...In Khusrau's case, despite him having all the fine qualities of becoming the successor of Akbar, despite having the strong backing of the masses as well as Akbar himself, despite being supported by important members of Akbar's court, he was blinded by his father Jahangir and held in captivity for as you said 15 long years...What can be said about that...The hunger for power makes people blind, insensitive, insecure, cruel!🥱

Aunt and niece age difference is only 2 years 😆 .
I know how it feels. My one cousin sis's son is two year elder to me and another cousin sis's daughter is same age as mine. When we meet we all got confuse thinking what to call each other .Sometimes the younger ones calls me Appi instead of Aunty. And got scolding from their mom ki woh she is khalamoni(Aunt) not Appi(Sis) 😆 .
Btw Abhay I wanted to ask u why Ladli Begum and Sulatana didn't get married?

After enough discussions, finally someone asked Harka Bai's age at the time of her marriage with Akbar. 😆 So, here is the answer, from us. >> She was not Even 16 years old in 1562, when she married Akbar. 😉

PS --> Do not bring the DOB mentioned on Internet here. 🥱🤢
