A Friendly Stranger
Sharon was sitting in the public library. The perfect figure of beauty was so engrossed in her book that she couldn't hear the jibber-jabber of the surroundings. After all she was a romantoholic and loved reading romantic novels. The only idea of love gave her flutters. She was reading Love Story by Erich Sehgal. Her all-time favourite. She tucked her beautiful brown hair behind her ear as the story took an interesting turn. Her glorious brown eyes were shinning with excitement. She bit her pink lips in eagerness. After a while when she finally turned the last page shut, tears of passion rolled down her perfect cheeks. She went to the shelves to keep the book back and started searching for a new tale of love. She took out a book by Ravinder Singh. But as soon as she opened the first page the lights went out and there was a thud of the main door closing. OMG! She was stuck for the whole night. The idea made her break down and she sat on the floor resting her head on her knees. She didn't knew what she will do. The thought kept her mind flooded for quite some time.
After a while she heard some footsteps. She woke with a start.
"Who is it?" Sharon asked into the darkness. A trickle of perspiration moved down her face. She was dead scared. She stood up at once and looked from left to right to find only darkness. She moved backwards looking around. She heard some more footsteps.
"Shit!!! Kaun hai vahan?" She looked about once again. She moved backwards when she hit a figure.
"Ah!!!" Someone cut her off by placing a firm hand over her mouth. She heard a whisper in her ear.
"Please don't shout. I won't hurt you. Now when I remove my hand please don't shout!" Sharon shook her head, debating the idea of the person being dangerous or not.
As soon as the hand moved away, Sharon turned around with a jerk.
She faced someone who was not at all a stranger but wasn't even a friend. She heaved a sigh of relief as she remembered the face.
Flashback Begins_____________________________________________________________
Sharon was in school. It was Valentine's Day. She was playing TDS with her friends. She was given a dare. She had to propose the first guy that enters through the door. After a few moments a guy does enter. He was simple. A white t-shirt and a checkered shirt with a blue faded jeans. His hair was marvelous-curly and massy. His brown eyes were looking sheepishly at her. He didn't understand why Sharon-The Diva was standing there with a rose in hand and staring at him. He smiled unknowingly at the sight of such glorious angel in front of him
"Hi!" he said
"Hi! Sharon!" Sharon replied introducing herself.
"I know you!" the guy replied
"But I don't know you!" Sharon said giving a hint.
"Oops sorry...Swayam!"
"So Swayam...Look! I have been dared to propose you so here it goes... Swayam... I love you...Will you be my valentine?"
It was Swayam's favourite dream. He had a crush on her since day one and now she was here down on her knees proposing him... He couldn't control himself and excitingly rather too excitingly he answered, "Yes, I will Sharon!"
He was on the top of the world at the moment. His brown were twinkling with the loveliness of the special moment.
Flashback Ends_______________________________________________________________
"Swayam! What are you doing here?"
Swayam was awestruck and just stared at the face of his epic love. He was dumbfounded by the glory of the simple girl next to him. Even if Sharon's simple blue jeans and orange top were a casual wearing, he saw her as if a goddess has descended from the heaven.
"Sh...Sh...Sharon! Hi!" Swayam stammered through the only words that came out his mouth.
Sharon laughed at this. For Swayam it was the best voice-her laugh. His eye then fell on the book in her hand.
"Can Love Happen Twice?" he said in a questioning tone.
"What?" Sharon replied confused.
"You're reading it too?" he said pointing towards the book in her hand.
"Oh! My book! Yes I am! What do you mean by too?" she asked.
Swayam slowly took out the same book from his black leather jacket in his hand.
"Nice story!" Sharon said making convo.
Then they both sat down and discussed their favourite parts. The two humming birds didn't knew when they grew into beautiful love birds. They talked for most of the night. Moving closer and closer-both emotionally and physically-a spark passed between the two. Their eyes soon started looking at the other with the most beautiful feeling on earth. They slowly found untold stories in each other's eyes rather than the books around them. Soon their legs touched and it was like their thoughts got linked. They had finally fallen in love.
Sharon-The Diva, so moved by the thought of love finally fell for it with a man she'd least expected it to be with. Swayam, for whom Sharon was no less than a diamond of the priceless amount, finally got the chance to put her in his crown of glory.
As they read on and on their hands interlinked. They looked into the face of an angel and slowly gave in to their instincts. Swayam slowly moved forward towards her while her heart ran a marathon. She placed her hand softly on his cheek making him feel contented. He turns his head towards her hand and takes it softly in his. He kisses it humbly, showing all the love he had for her.
Sharon couldn't wait any longer. She took the last few steps and rubbed her soft lips against his warm ones. Swayam was taken aback. He felt an adrenaline rush-rush through his body. He got electrified. He kissed her back passionately, cupping her face and caressing her. Sharon moved her hands into his hair and pulled him closer. The two love birds finally knew what real love felt like. They couldn't have been happier.
Mujhe ishq se rehna tha door
Gham iske bade jo hain mashhoor
Par ye dil hai ki bilkul mana nahin
Mujhe kheench kar dekho le aaya vahin
Jahan ishq hai, bas ishq hai
Haan ishq hai, bas ishq hai
Yaariyan ve... Yaariyan ve...
Iss dard-e-dil ki sifaarish
Ab karde koi yahaan
Ki mil jaaye isse woh baarish
Jo bhigade poori tarah...
When the librarian came in the morning, she finds under the light of heaven, two lovebirds sleeping peacefully in each other's embrace, holding awesome books of love.
