she wants to acheive her mother dream about bai beti becoming memsab --------to make her mother proud - lay her as an example such that bai like people can also acheive their ema, by encouraging their children..

There are 2 reasons I can think of -

1. To get back her Aai from Paakhi because she has challenged her

2. Right from when she is young her mother has told her she has to be a memsaab when she grows up (which is fine) but along with that she has also been emotionally blackmailed by her parents all along that they have sacrificed everything for her. That it is her duty to fulfil their dreams because they have done that. Never once have they said that was because she was smart - otherwise they could have made Pakya study too. Because of this EB, Kalpi feels like she has to do everything she can to fulfil her Aai Baba's dreams

They never praised her for her hard work! They only thought about their dreams anytime she accomplished anything!!
