PLL season5 articles What we want for spencer ??

In the long, hard months of the Pretty Little Liars hiatus, we like to take the time to reflect on our hopes and dreams...for our favorite characters. Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario) definitely falls into that category. Here are five things we want for Spencer in Season 5.

A season without any breakdowns. It's not that we don't enjoy seeing Spencer fall over the edge " no one tells it like it is like a spiraling Spencer " but give this girl a break. In Season 3, it was the mental break caused by Toby's seeming betrayal in death. In Season 4, it was a relapse in her addiction to study pills. We'd like to see an entire season in which we're not worried about Spencer's well-being (well, other than the obvious and ever-present threat from "A").

A serious heart-to-heart with Toby. Are we the only ones who feel like Toby and Spencer still have a lot to talk about? Maybe it happened off-screen, but we still have lots of questions concerning Toby's time on the "A" Team. We're also not sure why he took off for London in the season finale. If we were Spencer, we'd have some questions for her boyfriend (following by some shirtless hugging).

More nerd references. Spencer's nerd references may just be one of our favorite things ever. In Season 4, she went off on a Cicero College student for implying she is a Lannister (from Game of Thrones). She replies: "I could give you the entire Targaryen speech from the end of season one, but I will not waste my breath." We're thinking Spencer should up her nerd cred in Season 5 by referencing at least two of the following: Doctor Who, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Star Wars, or The Avengers. Another GoT reference wouldn't go amiss, either.

Some Ali squabbles. No one squabbles like Spencer and Ali! In many ways, they have a classic sibling relationship. They challenge one another, pushing each other to the brink, but in the end, they love one another. With Ali back in town, we'd like to see these two former (current?) besties work through their issues with some sharp-tongued squabbles and maybe a few heartfelt admissions, too.

Hastings family time! There will never be enough scenes with the Hastings family, especially all of them together, which rarely seems to happen (probably because they have such a big house). There's the potential for some serious Hastings time early in Season 5 given that all of the Hastings were in town for the Season 4 finale, and we think they have some apologizing to do. Spencer's parents have spent the last few years thinking their daughter killed her best friend. Perhaps, a family game night wouldn't go amiss?
