Chapter 1 (A)

,,Aastha? Kya Hua?" Sojals Voice brought Aastha back to the present Time.
,, Kuch nahi. I am just tired. Has..Has Shlok returned from Office?"
Aastha looked around;hoping to see him somewhere.
Sojal didn't believe Aastha that she was alright but also she didn't care much.
,, Haan. He just came back asking for you. He is waiting in his study room."
Aastha sighed, prepared her self mentaly for the next step and went to his study room.
While walking she thought about the Night which almost destroyed her Marriage.

It was about 3'O Clock and Aastha was outside her room to get some Water from the Kitchen.
,,Anjali.." She heard a male Voice and went closer to her in Laws bedroom.
,, You can't do anything right." Aastha heard her Mother in Law Anjali crying followed by a sound of a slap.
She was shocked. How could her loveable Father in Law raise his hands against his wife? How could he not care for her pain?
,, I-Im sorry Sahib...I did a Mistake...Please Forgive me..."
Aastha couldn't bear what she saw and ran towards her room.
Shlok was confused why Aastha looked so scared and hugged her for a minute. She told him what she saw and suddenly the Shlok she loved was no more.
He pushed her away angrily and starred at her with hate.
,, How dare you accuse my Father? The Man who is like a God to me? The Man i care the most about? I told you Aastha I won't tolerate anyone who says a word against him- even you. Haven't you learnt your Lesson? I will not spare you for this."
He pulled her closer, hurting her by his hard grip. She was shocked but faced him with equal anger.
,, Shlok Listen I am not lying! I saw him beating Mother in Law. He is a Monst-" Aastha couldn't finish because he slaped her.
Shlok had never slapped her since the Day in Kolhapur.
,,BAS Aastha BAS! " Shlok looked at her and she felt disgusted. How could he slap her that easily? Maybe...he was really like his Father...She never had imagined Shlok to fall so low.
She pushed him aways and threw a disgusted look at him. Shlok suddenly realized what he had done and was schocked by his odd behaviour.
,, I am sorry. Sorry that i thought our marriage was free of any physical abuse. I guess i was wrong. So i will make you an offer: From nowwards i will sleep on the couch and " She turned around and showed him her pain by a simple look in her eyes ,, i warn you don't you ever touch me again." Aastha lied down on the couch and cried. She wanted to forget what just had happend.
Shlok felt devasted seeing her State. What went wrong?
How could everything be ruined that fast?
The next Morning he tried talking to her but she stayed firm in her decision.

Aastha entered the study room and found her husband sleeping. He looked so young and peaceful in his sleep.
She came closer, touching his face with her fingertips. God, she missed him...His husky Voice in the morning, his touch. Everything.
She bend down to kiss his lips when he suddenly woke up. Theye shared an eyelock and her eyes widend in schock while she made a step back.
Shlok looked at his petite wife and still could feel her lips touching his. His face didn't tell a thing about his feelings for her. His desire and his confusion were well hidden behind a mask of anger and arrogance.
,,What do you want? Why are you here in my study room?"
Aastha felt sudden pain. He was so rude to her as if she never came close to him or his heart.
,, Listen...I need to share something with you but you have to promise me one thing: Don't take away my rights, even if we really should get the divorce you once mentioned!"
Shlok's anger turned into concern.
What had happend to her? Why was she talking like this? Did she really thought about a divorce? Then he needed to tell her he would never let her go.
,, Of Course why would I. I promise i won't to such a thing but tell me first what is wrong with you?" He waited for her to speak up and was worried as he saw the tears in her eyes. He came closer and tried to touch her but he was stopped by her next words.
,, I am pregnant." Shlok went rigid. What did she just say?
,, Kya?"
,, You are going to be a father" Aastha said and didn't know what to do with her hands so she touched her still flat stomach. Automatically his eyes followed her hands. Finally he realized what she just had told him and hugged Aastha tight. He felt Happiness overcoming any negativ emotion he dad.
Aastha was suprised; What know? she thought.
,,Are you serious? I will be a father? Aastha...meri jaan...That is amazing. Thank you for this gift!"Shlok smiled at her and she was confused again. How easily he forgot what happend just 1 Month ago. The slap he gave her.
She begann crying not able to hold back her sorrows.
,,Kya hua AAstha? Did i hurt you?" He immediately left her and softly caressed her face with his hands.
,, No" she sobbed. She felt safe in his Arms.
,, I guess i am crying easily because of the hormons. I can't control them because of the Pregnancy but Shlok to be honest I don't want a baby if we both are not together anymore."
,,Aastha We are married how can we not be together? I admit we fought but we still love each other. Don't we? We couldn't live without the other one. Why can't we just forget everything? For the sake of our Baby."
Shlok looked at Aastha and she nodded. She was tired of fighting her love.
,, I do love you more than myself but you don't trust me and even slapped me... I need time to move on..."
Shlok knew he had hurted her emotionally with that slap.
,, Aastha i trust you but you need a prove. Should one misunderstanding effect our childs happiness?"
,, No...It shouldn't"
He smiled at her and hugged her.
,, Now tell me how long are you pregnant? You must be around 2 or 3 Month...I mean we haven't been close for a while..."
Shlok led Aastha to the couch.
,, Haan I am 2 Month Pregnant and i know very well how long we haven't been close. I missed it...missed you." She stopped blushing about her Confession.
How could she admit how much she wanted him?
Shlok didn't know what to say but what to do.

Sry if you got confused
They fought again after that one time i menttioned and then in anger he said: Maybe we should really think of divorce.
but he never meant it that way
he was too hurt and stubborn like Aastha
