Part - 14

Ram was talking in the phone when there was a knock in his door. He went and opened it. She was standing smiling at her. "Hey Priya any help" he asked taking the phone away. "Ram are you busy?" She asked. "Well yeah really little busy. Just tell me whats it?" He asked. "Its ok Ram, just didn't get sleep so came for a chat" she managed. "Priya the time is 11:45 now. Go and sleep. Read a book you will doze of" he advised. "Yeah nice idea, see you tomorrow then. Good night" she wished him. "Yeah a very good night" he winked. She moved and he closed the door. He had loads to arrange. He felt himself flying rather than walking in the floor. Priya left to the deck and checked the time. She left to her and her phone beeped. It was her dad. She took it with a broad grin.

Ram tossed in his bed trying to sleep. His mom had told him exactly how to do all this. He felt loved. The thought that she was going to be his made his heart jump now and then. It seemed like it wqould shift from left to right. About 4am he got up. He knew he couldnt pretend to sleep anymore. He went to his balcony and saw the faint rays of the sun peeping out. The day was going to join in his best list. He inhaled the fresh air and closed his eyes. "I am prepared. But I am not sure how I am gonna execute" he told himself and smiled. He felt like a small boy who prepare for his rhymes telling test. He went in and called Kevin to bring coffee. He paced in his room not knowing what to do. Kevin came with the coffee. "Errr Kevin can you help me" Ram asked scratching his head. "Anything Sir" he replied. Ram sat on the chair "take your seat Kevin" he offered. Kevin sat down "yes sir how can I help you?" He asked. "Are all arrangements made?" He asked. Kevin nodded. "Good.. actually I wanted to ask..." Ram stopped for a minute. "Sir anything you can ask me" Kevin assured. "Well though we have made so many arrangements, I feel so nervous Kevin, what can I do for that" he asked fast. He saw Kevin trying hard not to laugh. Ram felt awkward. "Sir its common for a man, just like blushing is common for a girl" he said. "Well how did you know that?" Ram asked. Kevin blushed a bit. "Kevin you are with me all the time and when did you learn about girls?" He asked. "There's nothing to learn sir, if your with them you can easily get it" he said. "I am no a girl, your always with me only" Ram fired. "Sir I mean, its the usual behavior everyone knows it" Kevin managed. "Oh..! All will go well right?" Ram asked. Kevin smiled at him. "Thanks Kevin, you did all help and what about the other work on CERN I gave you?" He asked. "Sir I have asked about it, once I get the reply I will let you know" he replied. "Yeah ok" Ram said as Kevin poured coffee for him.

Ram called his mother who was now on cloud nine. She seemed double elated than him. he skipped gym. It was going to be a great day. He felt like the happiest man in the world. He looked at the pink shirt and cargo pants which his mom told him to wear. He remembered her telling it was her favourite colour. He thought of his moments with her. The day he met her. When she was standing with her back on the railings. The way their eyes met for the first time. He knew she was speacial to him at that instant. But it had taken so long to know in what way she was special to him. He took his time to dress up, combed his hair and left to the deck. The deck was with few people. It was chill so many stayed in their rooms. He scanned through the people and finally spotted her. His heart stopped nearly a minute on the sight that was before him. His jaw dropped. He felt as s if he were on fire from within. She was walking towards him. She was claded in a red, netted saree. It was the first time he had seen her in a saree. She looked like someone who was dropped from heaven by God. The saree stuck over her curves perfectly, making him loose his breath. Her hair swaying on one side, blowing in the breeze. Her hair brushed her lovely face as she tucked them with her fair, perfect fingers. Her rings in her fingers a perfect contrast to her complexion, they seemed to belong where they were. She lifted her saree to prevent her from falling, exposing a small part of her ankles where her golden anklets adorned her feet.Ram was experiencing a racing pulse. He wouldnt be surprised if he went on a shock. He looked at her from toe to head. Her lips, the shade of pink in them. He wanted to kiss them away. A red bindi was there on her forehead which added to her beauty. She seemed irresistable. He wasn't quiet sure if he knew how to speak. A little strong wind blew making her saree fly away exposing her fair waist, he looked without blinking. He ran his fingers through his hair. His favorite saree never seemed to be so perfect for anyone like this. As she walked to him a man came up to her "hey lady..! You look so pretty" he complimented.

Blood rushed in triple speed throught Rams veins. He felt like punching the man. He felt very possessive. "Thanks brother" Priya told the man. Ram broke into a smil hearing this. She came upto to Ram who was standing nearly open mouthed. "Hey Ram" she called. He looked at her for some time. She waved her hand in front of him. "Is anything wrong" she asked. He nodded "yes He called you pretty...That's practically an insult, the way you look right now...You're much more than beautiful. you look fantastic" he said. "Thanks a lot Ram" she blushed. "Ahh is anything specail today? New attire" he asked. "Well yeah, nothing specail. Its my birthday" she said slowly. He looked at her. "WHAT..? your birthday. Priya. Why didnt you tell me?" He asked stunned. "Well Ram I did try to tell you yesterday night. But remember you said you were busy, so didnt want to disturb you" she said. Ram closed his eyes on the mess he made again. He wanted to surprise her but yet got fooled himself. "Priya whatever you should have told me" he said back. "Ram not a big thing" she smiled. "What do you mean not a big deal.. I mean your an important person in my life and you didnt tell me it was your birthday" he sighed and turned to the other side. "Well I am sorry Ram, but can you keep your anger and wish me once now" she asked. He looked at her and smiled. He came near her and hugged her tightly. "Happy birthday Priya. I am sure all your heart desires will be satisfied from today" he said. She closed her eyes feeling his embrace "I just need to Ram" she thought.

Ram opened his eyes as reality stuck him. His hands were resting on her bare back. His eyes could see the full length of her back. He found it the hardest job to concenterate what was happening now. He pulled himself away from her. "Thank you Ram" she said. He smiled at her. "Shall we have breakfast, I feel so hungry" she said. He nodded and she turned to leave. He looked at her back and scanned her again "God, what a woman, killing me alive" he said. She turned to him "did you say anything?" She asked. "Hmmm.. nice blouse design" he said slowly. She turned and started walking. He saw her cheeks raise, they were pink. He knew she was blushing.

The day seemed to fly away. Priya was with all kids in the ship giving sweets and playing with them. Ram was very busy that he didnt have the time to do anything not even stretch his hands or legs, he was totally engrossed in seeing his lady love enjoying herself. He was clicking her pictures now and then. He told Kevin that their arrangements had to wait for a while as he had to do something for her birthday. His mom was unavaible and his mind didnt have any ideas to surprise her. The sight of her playing with the kids like a kid and the way her saree flew now and then drove him.half mad. She came to him and sat beside him. He moved a little away. He was sure he would lose control if she was going to be so close. "Are you ok?" She asked. He nodded. "Fine" he replied. "Well Ram, the small Ram wanted me to go to his room, so I will be back and catch you at dinner" she said. He nodded again. It was better she was away he thought. She smiled at him and left. He starred at her retreating figure " I just love you the way you are" he said and smiled to himself.

Both of them made their way to the room after dinner. "Ram this birthday was perfect, celebrating with so much people is great right?" She asked. He was happy to see her happy "happy for you" he replied. They reached the room. "So Ram, good night" she wished. He nodded "you too" he replied. She smiled and opened her room. He stood looking at her. She entered her room and gasped.

It was fully lit with candles everywhere. And she ws able to feel herself walking through balloons which nearly covered the whole floor. Two huge candles stood side by side on a stand to lighten the caption "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DEAR" she read it as tears filled her eyes. "Happy birthday" someone whispered in her ears. She jumped to see the person and hit his chest. "Ram...!" She asked. "Who else?" His voice filled her ears. She saw him holding a cake in his hand. "Shall we cut?" he asked. "You did this?" She was crying. He smiled "shall we cut?" He asked again. "Yes" she nodded. He led her to the table and settled the cake.they both sat down. He handed the knife "cut it" he said. "Will you cut with me" she asked. He grinned broadly. He took her hand in his and they cut together. His grip was firm on her. She wished he never left it. She took a piece and came near him. He bent and took it in his mouth and winked. She sniled at him. He took the same piece and gave her. His hands lightly brushed her lips as she bit the cake. His heart stopped. She closed her eyes. She seemed equally afected by the touch. He looked at her lips as she gently licked the cream away. A strong desire came in his heart, he wanted to kiss her. He moved little near. She was seeing the cake. She raised up and saw him looking at her. His face was inches away. Her breath raced. He looked for sometime and moved a little more closer. He closed his eye and moved back "I need to go" he said. "Ram cant you stay a few minutes, I mean I feel so special, I would be happy if you are here" she said. He wanted the same. But he knew if he was going to be here things would go in a different way. "No Priya I need a drink, you had a tired day, sleep now" he caressed her hair lightly. She nodded. He got up to leave."thanks a lot Ram for this, means a lot" she said. "Never thank me, I am doing what I have to" he said and left.

She saw him leave and smiled. She swtiched on the light and found her her bed kept neat. The whole room was full of ballons and candle. There was a small note in the bed, she took it "Sorry Priya for messing the room. Sleep. We will clean tomorrow. DONT CLEAN IT YOURSELF" she read and smiled.

She kept it and walked to the deck. It was empty. She saw him standing at a corner and looking at the sea. She was little surprised to see him there.she went to him. "Ram" she called and touched her hand. Her warm skin over his cold hand made him shiver. "You came here?" He asked. "I should ask you that, you said your going for a drink?" She asked. "Well I dropped the idea, I needed some air" he said. "Is anything wrong?" She asked. He looked at her. Her face shone in the moonlight. Her eyes twinkled. He had read somewhere that "eyes are doorway to heart , one can see one heart in it". He thought it was foolish but now he was seeing it. Her eyes were full of love for him. "Ram" she called again. He saw one strand of hair disturbing her eyes. He raised hia hands and slowly pushed them away. She closed her eyes and shivered lightly. He wanted to caresa her perfect face, her lips. With a great difficulty he removed his hand and turned away. "Ram is all okay?" She asked.

He turned to her and looked directly "no Priya nothing is ok, I think I am losing myself" he said. "Why Ram?" She asked. "Coz of you" he replied.
