Why is Ranbir Kapoor doing Sanjay Dutt biopic?

Is he getting emotionally blackmailed by dutts or terrorist sanjay dutt gangster friend are forcing him to do it or is he just that desperate to work with Raju hirani.
Given now Manyata is producer, it would be clearly a biased POS,with how sanjay was victim of circumstances and was innocent and tortured bcz of 20 year long trial run.

Most BW people sympathize with Sanju. Heck, even some Southern stars got criticized for supporting him openly and asking for pardon.

I feel he is hesitant to refuse Hirani..Every actor dreams of working with him at some point..If not for him, he wouldn't have batted an eyelid to say no..But its tricky cos Hirani is involved..Its pathetic that they'l glorify someone like Sanjay but its also true that Hirani will make sure its a well made film 😆

He was Raju's second choice after Aamir too back in 2012
I am just hoping Hirani comes t o his senses and makes something else instead
