An unrealized feeling..

She opened her eyes. In fact, she squinted them. Bright sunlight which gracefully made its way through the window panes compelled her to do so. She was in a jolly mood. After so many days had she had a peaceful sleep. She went to the washroom to get ready. Little did she know what destiny had planned for her later in the day..

EVENING, 6:00 pm.

After finishing all her lectures, she and her bestie kaustuki sat in the canteen chatting away to glory.

"today was such a relaxing day for you. You had a peaceful sleep and for a change, Randhir also didn't talk to you much. " Kaustuki said.

Suddenly the fact seemed weird. Why didn't Randhir taunt her today? They didn't fight today, and that was making Sanyukta uncomfortable. She now knew what was incomplete today.

: Boy's hostel :

Sitting on his bed, Randhir wasn't very comfortable either. Despite the fact that his mortal enemy didn't collide with him was supposed to make him happy, he didn't feel anything good about it. He had a urge to talk to her, fight her, taunt her.. But he was unable to give a reason for this urge. The only sensible thing his mind could make up was that since it was like a daily routine of his to fight, not doing it today did hamper it.

He got up and started going towards Mechanical Lab. Playing with machines had always reduced his stress.

Meanwhile, Sanyukta was looking for her file when she realized that she had forgotten it in the Lab. She headed towards it.

: Mechanical Lab :

Sanyukta entered the lab only to find a busy Randhir, in black vest and blue jeans, leaning over his machine. She wanted to avoid another fight b/w them, however at the same time, another part of her wanted to talk to him badly.. Little did she have the idea that it was her heart.

Her file was just beside Randhir. She went and picked it up and turned around to walk away, but her hand touched his and that sent a shiver down her spine. She froze when she saw those brown orbs staring back at her. Those little menace things had always captured her and paused her whenever it stared at her. She shook her head and thought,'I need a doctor.. I am going mad.'

"Kyu Miss Engineer, aaj jhagda karne ka mood nahi hai?"Randhir spoke.

At last he spoke. Such relief. What?! I said relief? Sanyukta, girl, you have gone mad, she thought.

"Nahi, bas socha aaj tumhe haarne se bachau. Roz haarte ho, phir bhi jhagadne ka man karta hai?" She replied, fire raging in her voice.

Yes, this was incomplete. This voice of hers was missing. She was missing in my day. Holy god, did he miss her? No way! Hmph.. Randhir thought.

Suddenly, the door behind them closed with a bam.. And like that wasn't enough, even lights went off.

"Shit. Someone open the door! Please!" sanyukta shouted.

"Why you? Every time I am locked, it's only with u. Ugh. " Randhir said.

"Mujhe bhi koi shauk nahi hai tumhare saath lock hone ka." she said.

But inside both of them, there was a relief that they were locked with each other, and not someone else.

Due to darkness, Sanyukta couldn't anticipate that there was something in front of her. She tripped only to fall in his strong hands. She never understood how Randhir was always there to help her. However his smell, and breathe mesmerized her whenever he came close.

On the other hand, Randhir did not feel a slight weight on his arms which held Sanyukta so gracefully. Her soft hair brushed against his skin, which sent a tingle in him. Even in mere moonlight, he could not resist those almond eyes staring back at him. Her sharp features had always attracted him, no matter how hard he tried to prevent them from distracting him.

Both got up and there was an awkward silence between them.

"umm, thank you. " she broke the silence.

"It's ok. Let's find if there is some candle, because I don't want to fight with you in darkness." he replied, almost spontaneously.

"okay." she giggled.

After an hour later also, they came up with nothing.

"Lagta hai, aaj light ke bina hi survive karna padega.." he said.

"With you as a burnt cherry on a super-tasteless cake. " she said.

"Tum bhi koi interesting nahi ho.." he replied.

"you can't comment on me like that." she said sharply.

"Acha, toh you want me to explore you huh?" he said with a grin.

"Chii. Shut up yaar!" She said sheepishly.

His grin changed to a smile. A genuine one which was pasted on his face by his Sanyukta. Wait a sec, his? Na Na Na. Something was wrong. Yet that wrong felt good.

It was the same with her. She was also feeling happy, yet the source she failed to understand.

Later in the night, if anyone would have opened the door, they would've found a sleepy Sanyukta cuddled up in Randhir's arms who was smiling like an idiot in his sleep. They were enjoying each other's warmth and sleeping soundly in a corner. Moonlight was falling on them which made the pair look evergreen.
