I had once heard a saying that a husband always comes first for the wife until the child comes.After,the child comes first and the husband second.I had this thought in my mind while when I first began writing this story.
Part 7
"I want a divorce Arnav"
"What" Arnav said shocked "What are you talking about Khushi?"
"You know exactly Arnav"
Khushi turned around but Arnav grabbed her arms,pulling her towards him "Khushi do you even know what will happen if we ever have a divorce? Do you realize how a divorce can even affect our life? I love yo-"
Khushi shoved his arms off her "But I don't.Why do you think I always kept my distance from you?"
"Khushi.I love you.What kind of joke is this?"
"It's not a joke.The divorce papers are on the shelf.I have already signed the papers"
Arnav felt his heart skip a beat "You..You don't...don't love me? THEN WHY THE HELL WERE YOU WITH ME FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS?" he roared.
"Because I wanted your money" she stated "I am bored of you now and don't need you"
Arnav grabbed Khushi's arms in a dead tight grip,once again pulling her towards him "I know you Khushi.This isn't you.You love me.I know it.I can feel it"
"Whatever.Just remember to sign those papers"
Arnav gritted his teeth and decided to play his main card "Fine.You want a divorce right? I'll give it you but Aarav gets to stay with me"
Khushi stilled for a second but then came back "Fine" she said "Go ahead.I don't know what I would have done with him anyways"
Khushi lied on the bed,covering herself with the duvet,leaving a hurt and heartbroken Arnav standing in one place not knowing what to do.

The next day when Arnav woke up,Khushi was missing.He looked around in their room but didn't find her 'Was last night just a horrible dream?' he wondered.He opened the closet to find it half empty.Arnav widened his eyes.Only his clothes hung there.None of Khushi's.He looked through each and every drawer in an attempt to find any piece of her clothing but none.It was like she was never there "KHUSHI" he yelled hoping she was in the mansion and would come to their room but she never came.Arnav ran downstairs and checked the kitchen where she would sometimes be but she wasn't there.He ran up to Aarav's room but she wasn't there.He tried to call her but her phone was left in his room."She left me" he whispered in realization "She wasn't kidding and neither was it a horrible dream.She actually left me" A tear escaped his eyes.He fell on his knees and let out a sob "Why Khushi? I loved you and you just played with my heart so cruelly.I thought you were different" He closed his eyes recalling all the memories he spent with her "I hate you" he whispered "I hate you so much.I will never forgive you" he promised.

A Year Later
"Dad I am home" Aarav said cheerfully.
Arnav smiled and picked up his son "How was school?"
"Fun but I missed you"
Arnav's smile widened "And I missed you"
"Want to play with me Aarav?" said Monica as she entered the room.
Aarav made a face and clung on to Arnav "No" he said rudely "I only want to play with dad"
Monica frowned.She was about to reply but Arnav interrupted "Let's go to your room Aarav.We can play there" Aarav happily nodded.
On the day Khushi had left,Arnav's smile never reached his eyes.He stopped being that happy guy he once used to be.He hid behind a mask called ASR.Arnav believed hiding behind ASR would help him control his emotions and protect him from feelings and most importantly a heartbreak.Arnav's family tried to break him out of his shell but it was of no use.
A couple months after Khushi left,Monica's parents had to move to London to help a relative but Monica wanted to stay in India to continue her new career as a model.Arnav's family took her in.They wanted to hook Monica with Arnav but Arnav never agreed.He always said "Aarav is my only priority and I don't want anything distracting me from him" or "I don't want to get married again.I remember how that ended last time"
Monica always tried to make friends with Aarav but he always stuck with Arnav not liking her.He tried to ask Arnav where Khushi was but every time he did,he would find his father on the verge of tears so he ignored the topic.Though Aarav missed his mother,he didn't want his father to cry.
Monica sometimes would try to get close to Arnav but he always pushed her away remembering Khushi every time.Khushi surrounded his thoughts even when he wanted to remind himself that he hated her but he knew he was lying to himself every time.
