Baawre Written Update for 6th June 2014

Yamini is wearing the dress from the boutique she finds uncomfortable and her grandmother urges her to tell her father that she doesn't want to wear it. Her father, on seeing her in that dress starts to clap and tells her how good she looks wearing it. Yamini and her mother stay silent while her grandmother tries to reason with her father but to no avail. When her father asks her as to whether she thinks her father forces her to do what he likes as implied by Daddu she fearfully and evasively says that he does what's best for her.

Nikumbh is at the Haveli, remembering Baba Jaan's words. Simultaneously, the narrator talks about how except for crashing at Azam's for night that room in the Haveli has been home to Nikumbh. He's learnt friendship and realized his passion about theater and fallen in love and had his heart broken, all in that room. Nikumbh goes around the room, looking at old photos, a cassette tape and takes out a diary from a trunk, possibly his father's. Weakness is getting the better of him when he sees his father, dressed up to play Dashrata, Lord Rama's father. He urges Nikumbh to get past his sorrow and worries and take charge of things. Scene shifts and Yamini is shown in her room singing to herself. She's anxious about the dress, upset because of her silence in front of her father and she's venting it out by means of singing and eventually, crying. On the other hand, Nikumbh is rehearsing one last time in that room, his expression that of determination and confidence. In the final moments of the scene they are both shown to realize the sadness they feel within.

The narrator steals a newspaper man's bicycle at dawn and starts to ride, narrating playfully how he thinks today would be a good day for Nikumbh and Yamini. Yamini wakes up to the tune of Happy Birthday' playing in her room. She opens her eyes to see her father standing right next to her bed. She shares a family moment with her father, Daddu and mother. Her father on gifting a new dress to her and indirectly saying that no matter what happens she has to wear the dreaded costume', not dress at the show, leaves. Her mother tells her not to bring up the dress again and Daddu tells her that today she can eat whatever she likes. On the other hand, Azam expresses anger at coming to know about Baba Jaan's request to Nikumbh. Nikumbh calms him down and tells him he's worried about how the supervisor of his show is not picking up his phone. He also says that he needs to find a new place to rehearse but Azam tells him that it is best for now to occupy the smaller room available at the Haveli. Nikumbh says that he needs to pay Azam back at the end of the scene to which Azam says that by getting Shaheen's number for him he had paid him back.

The happiness in Yamini's household begins to dampen when her father tells her about arranging for the bigger hall at the Haveli. She feels sorry for Nikumbh but nobody takes her seriously. At the Haveli she is surprised by her colleagues and she's happy again. Nikumbh passes by and her colleagues jokingly ask him why he isn't wishing her. He comes and snappily hands him over the keys to the hall he is vacating for her as a birthday gift. Taunting her and smiling all the same, he leaves.

Yamini receives a phone call from the Minister's daughter and the wretched dress. The daughter blabbers and doesn't notice that Yamini doesn't say anything while they are on the phone. As she hangs up, Nikumbh who is cleaning up the hall trips over a bundle of newspapers and spills the black paint in his hand allover Yamini's shit. He apologizes but blames her for standing in the way. When he leaves, sighing, Yamini realizes she has no reason to be angry with him seeing as he's helped her in having to not wear that dress. She silently says Thank you, Nikumbh' to herself and the episode ends.

The precap shows that the supervisor tells Nikumbh that they've chopped off his drama in order to give Yamini more time at the show. Yamini appears at the stage in the dress her father had given her that morning and the perverted minister, his daughter and Yamini's father all are shocked.
