Vithal looks at Kalpi in frustration... he does not know what to say... he can't believe he slapped her... he looks at his hand and thinks... phew dhai kilo ka hath nahi hai... warna Ragav toh muje mardalega... he stares at Kalpi, checking to see if he has left a hand print... he gulps... oh no... he thinks... uski gaal laal hogi... ab me kya karu...
he looks around his bedsitter, thinking what can he use to calm her irritated skin... oh cold compress... he smiles in relief, happy to have found a solution that would hide his deeds. Bam he freezes, his eyes tearing as he thinks... oh no the fridge has gone for repair. He closes his eyes and says a quick payer to God, please don't let Kalpi and Ragav meet today... warna you and I are meeting.
Kalpi goes to the landing and stares out aimlessly into the sky... her expression filled with sadness. Today was the first time her father took her mother's side... both with the same chant... no Ragna... both upset with her for allowing Ragav to fill her maang. She sighs, thinking how to keep the balance and make both her parents and her husband happy... and more importantly Ragna fans.
She knew that nobody was happy with how Ragna happened... lost in thought to find a solution that would appease everybody.
Vithal shaking in his pants, rushes out after Kalpi, stands by the door and releases a deep sigh of relief... he looks towards the sky and thanks God that Kalpi is just taking in some fresh air. Kalpi unaware of her father's plight goes to bappa... she needs his wisdom and guidance.
Vithal looks back at where Kalpi was, but doesn't see her. He thinks to himself... oh no... she has gone to Ragav... what if she complains. His heart racing, he begins to perspire as he panics. With tears in his eyes he runs into the house and locks himself in... switches off the lights and crawls into a corner... wailing away... Oh Kamla why did God call you... now who will I hide behind... Ragav baba respects you that is why he did not retaliate when u slapped him, but me... I am a henpecked husband... nobody respects me... oh Kamla come back to me.
Just then the doors open, Vithal screams like a girl thinking its Ragav... as he studies the shadow he realises it is too huge to bee Ragav... he sighs in relief. The lights switch on... and it is none other than his Kamla... he gets up and runs to her... crying, for he had frightened himself silly.
Kamla accepts Vithal's hug and pats him on the back trying to calm him, she says in a confused voice... Vithal what is the matter... Vithal breaks down... crying in earnest and says... Kamla save me... I slapped Kalpi.
Kamla steps away from him, takes him to the sofa where they both sit down. Calmly she asks... why did u slap Kalpi. Vithal says passionately as he hiccups... I got angry because Ragna happened... ema is about Vithla not Ragna.
He rests his head on Kamla's lap... like a child does to their mother and says with fresh tears... Kamla I am scared of Ragav... If he finds out I slapped Kalpi, he will get angry and come and slap me... Kamla please protect me. He completes as he circles his arms around her waist wanting to hide inside her sari folds... alas unable... as his hands couldn't meet.
Kamla pats his head and says.. beta... ugh I mean Vithal hunny... don't you worry... Kamla the hamla is here to protect you.
