Sridevi to play a princess in her next!

After wowing critics and audiences with her grand comeback in English Vinglish, Sridevi is all set to return to her roots in Tamil cinema.

Her next film will be in Tamil, dubbed in Hindi. Directed by Chimbu Devan, the film will also feature Tamil superstar Vijay and Kannada star Sudeep.

But she will play the main role of a princess. Confirming these developments, Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor says, "Yes, she is doing a film with the Tamil star Vijay. That's all I can reveal at the moment." In this fantasy caper Sridevi would play a princess whose province is imperiled by the evil machinations of her enemy. Sri had earlier played a princess in Chandramukhi and Khuda Gawah.

Apparently, her daughters persuaded Sridevi to complete her trilogy of royal films by doing a third film where she is cast as a princess.

She played a princess, well not a princess exactly, but a woman who has descended from the heaven into the human world in a telugu movie.

Yeah that Telugu movie was called Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari, which was a blockbuster and was dubbed into all the language from Hindi-Malayalam-Tamil due to Sri's immense popularity!

Also the same movie was remade into Bollywood as Chandra Mukhi, where Salman played the lead with her.

On Topic: Very exited for this movie! Sridevi looked great as a princess in her movies like -Chandramukhi, Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari, Khuda Gawah, so it'll be great to watch her again playing a Princess! Sri is indeed a gorgeous princess herself!

Yeah, the title of the movie didn't click with me instantly, now I know. 😆 The songs were ATBB, especially the one Abani teeyani debba, it was said both her and Chiranjeevi competed with each other about who would be more graceful.

^^ Oh yeah! Sridevi looked drop dead gorgeous in that song, also movie!

The song was then copied in movie Beta (originally written for Sridevi, but she rejected it) -''Dhak Dhak Karne Laga'' which was again greatly done by another legendary diva Madhuri! ⭐️

She looked awestruck, don't think such grace could be seen in actresses today. And I loved that kid Shamili, who is now a actress now.

Vijay movies are like Sallu's action movies. Hardly any role for others. Don't have much hope. Holiday and Wanted are the Hindi versions of his action flicks.

But when Sridevi is doing a movie ..she makes sure that she's the protagonist and her character is the most important in the movie! She never even played second to Amitabh, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Chiranjeevi, Salman, then who's Vijay? Lol ..

She's no Asin, Sonakshi to play a flowerpot role!
