Yes he needs her now more than ever.
He's reaching his saturation point when there's no right or wrong or his terrible ego but her. He can't hide it anymore .
The pain of letting her go is taking the better of him , he now feels like the nine year old Randhir who was deprived of his mother's love .
The only difference is that , for his mother it was her work , but for Sanyukta it's PARTH. He cannot let anyone replace him .
He's letting the emotions come out , he's letting her feel the tension.
She's accepting the flawed Randhir, albeit gradually . She understands him to an extent. She's learning to see the difference in him.
More than Randhir it's her who questions what he is to her?
SHE NEEDS HIM TO.
She needs him to pick her up whenever she falls , fails . She needs him to ignite her passion, strength , prowess. HE is her STRENGTH.
In the precap, when Randhir breaks down in her arms, if you notice her expressions , she shares his pain. She knows that she's the only one for him.
Parth is a dear friend to her but Randhir is much more . The feelings she has for him often gets masked by the enemity . He affects her , and she knows that . Whatever he says .. Does ..leaves her stunned . He is an enigma she's learning to decipher.

This is the THE MOST IMPORTANT SCENE OF SANDHIR. Randhir's break down , after which equations will change , emotions change. Things do change when people have handled your worst , now the game of masking the recognised emotions will start.
Randhir has been portrayed as a strong character , vulnerable but strong. His show of vulnerability , shows the trust he has in Sanyukta . Many of you say it's impulsive . Agreed on that , but Randhir wouldn't breakdown in front of Jignesh , Yoyo , Kaustuki , he wouldn't share his feelings , his plight . He doesn't trust any of them because he doesn't get the reciprocation from anyone but Sanyukta . And she accepts this side of him AND every OTHER SIDE. . She's learned to accept that he's beautifully flawed .
Whereas for Parth , she expects him to be mature , to see him behave like an immature is something she's finding hard to accept . She's trying to console him, to know him but she's doubtful .
As for Randhir , she knows he'd come to her . She knows .
