Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan has had a bad run in terms of new films. Not only did she decide against doing Shuddhi', her first film opposite Farhan Akhtar has been placed on the back-burner and she was not even an option for Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Bajirao Mastani' despite making her interest in the project clear. Not so long ago, Kapoor Khan apparently claimed to be doing Bejoy Nambiar's next but the director himself has denied even approaching her.
A source is quoted by Asian Age, "Recently, there were rumours about Kareena being in talks with Bejoy for his next starring Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan. It was said Kareena was almost finalised as Farhan's leading lady. When quizzed about it, Kareena had said that she likes Bejoy's script but will decide on it after she wraps up Singham 2, which she is currently shooting for. And now Bejoy has revealed that he has not approached any actress for his film as yet which has obviously raised many questions".
This does put Kapoor Khan in a tight spot somewhat as she must now be working on an explanation as to why she said she was signed for the forthcoming film.

Director Prabhudheva has assured that Kareena Kapoor won't be just an eye-candy in his movie Singh Is Bling with Akshay Kumar.

Kareena Kapoor has been offered the lead opposite Akshay Kumar in Prabhudheva's much talked-about project "Singh Is Bling".

The actress, who is also on the verge of signing films with Sujoy Ghosh (in the title role of Durga Rani Singh) and Bejoy Nambiar, says she is spoilt for choice.

When asked if Kareena would have much to do in a film where Akshay Kumar plays the title role, Prabhudheva said: "The heroines in my film always have their own space in the plot. Was Sonakshi Sinha in 'Rowdy Rathore' or 'R... Rajkumar' just a decorative doll? No way! My films may be titled after the hero, but the heroine has no reason to complain."

One hopes Kareena Kapoor is sufficiently reassured.

Incidentally, Kareena and Akshay make a really hot pair in theory.

But strangely, excluding Abbas-Mustan's "Aetraaz", all their big-ticket films together like "Ajnabee", Suneel Darshan's "Talaash", Dharmesh Darshan's "Bewafaa", Sabbir Khan's "Kambakkht Ishq" have collapsed at the box office.
