Balaji Telefilms popular show Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV has completed its successful journey of 5 years and celebrated the joyful occasion with cake cutting ceremony.

The show started with a bang in 2009 focusing on the journey of the couple Manav (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) now and later on their grown-up children where Hiten Tejwani was stepped in as Manav and now the story focuses on their grown-up grandchildren.

Though the show's numbers are dipping in the TRP rating but the team is highly ecstatic to enjoy the moment together despite the fact that the show's time slot was changed and introduced in the evening slot.

Pavitra Rishta celebrated the occasion of completing 5 years with a cake cutting ceremony which was a surprise for all the cast and crew from the production department. Production team got 5 cakes for every year and celebrated among few cast members.

Tellybuzz contacted some of the actors from Pavitra Rishta to know about their journey in the show and here are they sharing their happiness -

Hiten Tejwani portraying the character of Manav says, "It is a wonderful experience and I am proud to be a part of the show. It has been a great journey so far and now it has become a small family as being with the team for so much time builds a good bond. Talking about my character Manav, it's a lovely role and I am glad people accepted me as Manav as I got lot of love for my character. I would like to thank Ekta Balaji to trust me and offer me such important character and I would also like to thank all my viewers and fans to love me and appreciate my work."

Usha Nadkarni loved as Savita Tai says, "It was a dream to get into such a show where I got to play such an interesting character of Savita Tai who is a Maharashtrian lady mufat (outspoken) with her nature which I am in my real life too so it was easy for me to play this character as I can very well relate it with my real life. I enjoyed shooting so much that when I am at home I feel bore and like to go back to set. Now a days my scenes are less so I visit set twice or thrice in a month but I loved shooting with Pavitra Rishta and it's a great team to work with. Smriti Zubin Irani recommend my name to Ekta Kapoor through my acting in Vaastav which I remember till now."

Ankit Narang portraying the character of Soham says, "I am in the show from past two years and I got a chance to play all the possible characters in one show starting from a young negative boy to positive and straight forward person then from lover to villain and then after the leap a drunkard father to thief and now gradually my character coming to a positive side. In short I am lucky to get the opportunity to play such different shades in one single show and learn to grow as an actor. This show brought stability in my career, people started recognizing me and I got my fame through Pavitra Rishta. Starting 1 to 2 months it was very tough for me as I had to do lots of hard work which is paid off now as I enjoyed my 2 years in the show with utmost fun with Pavitra Rishta team. Lastly I would ask my fans to keep showering their love and our show completes many more years ahead."
