"Hey Maan""Hey Adi..watsup?"
"some of the guys are planning on going golfing. You in?"
"Are you kidding me? Am there...i need to get away from the house. So tell me what excuse did you tell Pinky?"
"What excuse? I don't need to tell her anything. I am a man and will do whatever I want" (Adi boasted to which Maan rolled his eyes)
"Come on yaar...cut the crap! I know how well you are scared of Pinky."
"Look who is talking? You are more scared of Geet then I am of Pinky. Anyway, Not that I had to give her an excuse but in case I told Pinky that you are sick and I am going to see you."
"What?! What if she calls Geet to ask how I am doing?"
"Relax all thought of...I told her that it would be best not to bother you guys since Geet is left all alone to take care of the devil kids..and just like that she agreed"
"hmm okay I am going to TELL Geet I am going golfing. I am not scared of her"
"hmm whatever...I'll see you then..bye"
Maan hangs up the phone pacing back and fourth thinking of ways to go out. Today is the weekend which means his devil kids are home always up to something. I have to figure out a way to get out. Its beeen a while since I hung out and I need to prove Adi wrong that I can go out whenever I want. I am not scared of Geet. Puh-lease..I am the CEO of my company, I handle multiple employees and own many companies how hard can it be to handle a wife? Right? Maan this is your chance. Show Geet who runs the orders around here. Yeah. Be brave. He pops his collar and walks out of the room ready to face his devil, umm wife.
He could hear her yelling at his father as usual and his kids running behind eahc other threatening to kill one another. In other words, typical saturday morning. He walks down the stairs going staright into the kitchen to confront her directly. She was busy placing roti on the plate in a hurry for the table outside.
"umm sweety..sweetheart..honey what are you doing?" (ST: Smooth Maan..you know she is not used to me talking to her like this...do something. He quickly goes behind Geet hugging her tightly.) "sugarlips..you work so hard...I told you to hire some maids around here."
"You know the kids will drive them away...I am the only one that can control them. Anyway, since you are home today. You can take the kids out to give me enough time to do other things around the house"
"ohh I would love to honey...but the thing is that uhh Adi is sick and I really have to go see him."
"When did he get sick? I spoke with Pinky last night and she didn't mention anything about him"
"He got sick after..poor guy he could barely talk..he sounded so bad. I thought maybe I would go visit him and keep him company."
"Are you sure his is sick?" (Geet looks at him suspeciously. Maan lets go of her pretending to be offended.)
"Wh wh what do you mean to say, that I am lying. If you don't believe me then call him yourself." (He takes out his cell phone pretending to dial his number while praying that Geet stops him on time or else he will be in trouble) "I am dialing the number...here I go..." (he dials his number very slowly while sneaking a glance at her face...)
"Maan wait..don't disturb them. Tell you what, I will get ready and we both can go and see him."
"What...Geet kids needs you and if anything I will keep you updated on his status. I am sure there is nothing to worry about. I will go right now." (He quickly kisses her on her lips before running outside. Good thing i keep my golf clubs inside my car...here i come fellas)
After spending the whole day golfing, Maan came home with a smile. She saw Geet sitting in the living room reading a magazine. He stopped in his tracks. Something was wrong. The house was quiet, in fact too quiet considering the kind of kids he had and his father in law..he was no where to be seen. Usually, he is always roaming around his daughter like a lizard keeping an eye on him. Maan quickly pretends to be sad as he plops himself right next to Geet.
"Ahh I didn't image the house could get this quiet. Where is everyone?"
"How was Adi Maan? Is he feeling any better?"
"Who?" (Geet looks at him with suspicion) "ohh Adi...yeah umm he is doing much better now..he was really glad that I was able to spend the whole day with him"
"yeah you are such a good friend...anyway, let me get you dinner...you must be so hungry"
Maan thinks back to the dinner he had with his buddies before coming here. He was pretty full. He pats his stomach which was bulging a little thanks to all the bear he drank today.
"umm darling..no need..am okay...you eat I will just go upstairs and rest."
"Nonsense...you know I can't eat without you. Now come." (She smiles as she gets up. Maan sighs as he had no option but to eat yet again. No wonder he had a fat stomach now. He slowly takes his seat as Geet places food on the table)
"Where is everyone Geet? The kids?"
"Oh I couldn't let them see me kill their father" (Geet blabs out loud by accident)
"What?"
"I mean that they all wanted to go see a movie so I told dad and dadima to take the kids"
"Ohh good...now I will get to spend some time with you. Its been a while since we spend some time together"
"hmm it sure is..." (Geet sits down starting at Maan while he looked at the food in front of him.) "So tell me" (She gets up to place food on his plate and stands behind him after finishing. Geet starts to message his shoulder and neck. Maan spits the food out as soon as she starts since he knows something is wrong. Geet never does that unless it is to threaten him. Maan holds her hands and brings her in front of him.)
"darling why don't you sit and relax no need to message my shoulders."
"I want to, you must be so tired sitting down all day with Adi while he was sick. I Just hope you didn't catch anything." (She places her hand on his forehead to check his temperature)
"Ma'am where should I keep this?"
"Bring them here and you may go for the night." (Maan who was holding a glass of water drops it on himself when he sees his golf clubs and his dirty shoes he wore while golfing in front of him. Geet was looking at each one very carefully. He was in hell of a trouble. He gets up under the pretenx of cleaning up.)
"I uhh have to go to bathroom...actually you know what am tired..I am going to go to sleep"
"But I want to talk to you..." (She takes out one of his favorite golf club inspecting it..) "Sit down Maan" (She says with little bit of anger) "You know what's weird I called Pinky today"
"Ohh you did" (he laughs nervously) "Isn't she a funny character? You know when I went to her house she was pretending as if Adi is okay. I was shocked. Between you and me I think Pinky is a little crazy"
"Ohh yeah then I must be crazy too since I pretended to not see Adi here as well since he did come here to see you." (Maan looks at his watch nervously)
"You know what Geet dear...Its getting late and I should get to bed." (he saw her holding his favorite gold club in her hands tightly.) "Can I have this back?"
"ohh this?" (She throws it on the ground and places her leg in the middle of it bending it upwards.)
"What are you doing to my baby?" (He yells as he picks up the bended golf club with a sad face)
"Now, listen to me. Pinky and I are spending the whole day tomorrow together while you and Adi will babysit the kids together."
"What?"
"Ohh yes..." (she kisses him on his cheek with an evil smile.) "Good night my dear"
Maan sits on the couch pondering over the thought of being alone with the kids. He heard their yelling and scareming from outside and knew they were home. The kids jumped on him with a smile.
"We heard you were in trouble by mommy. Is that true?"
"haha your mommy is such a joker...we will be spending our day tomorrow..together without mommy."
"Without mom?" (Rohan said with a smile)
"Yes...?" (Maan said with worry knowing he might be planning something in his head right now)
"That's great dad..." (Maanavi said...) "I am tired now so I have to go to sleep...good night"
(All the kids ran upstairs high-fiving each other)
"I am doomed" (Maan said to himself knowing his kids will make his life hell tomorrow. Mohindar sat right next to him shaking his head)
"You know I could help you with the kids if you do one thing for me" (Mohindar said)
"And what is that?"
"Your dadima and I have this little party to go too on Monday...if you manage to convince Geet then tomorrow I could help you. After all that is the least you can after you took my daughter from me"
"ohh please don't start that again. I didn't take your daughter away in fact you should be lucky that I let you stay here in my house."
"Ohh yeah..I dare you to throw me out"
"Don't push me old man..I just might" (Maan gets up standing before him. Mohindar steps back a little being scared.) "You are lucky I am tried or else I would've taught you a lesson" (Maan smirks knowing his so called father in law is all talks. Maan flexes his muscles while pretending to stretch to show Mohindar what exactly he can do)
"Are you sure? I am all ready for you! Its good to let your emotions out" (He walks toward Mohindar in a slow pace)
"Maan leave my father alone. You guys just can't get along now can you?" (Geet comes from behind yelling at him. Mohindar smirks at Maan showing him his tongue)
"I am not doing anything...it was your father who started it first."
"I am so scared of him Geet." (Mohindar pretends to be scared and worried. Geet roles her eyes)
"Save it both of you. Now, dad go to bed AFTER you take your medication. I know you didn't take any yesterday. I counted your medication."
"I did take it in front of Maan after you left for work" (Maan smiles and looks away)
"Maan did he take his medication?" (Geet asks)
"I don't know he told me to go away and he wil take it himself. I trusted him that he will" (Maan winks at Mohindar when Geet wasn't looking while sticking his tongue out)
"You little.." (Mohindar runs toward Maan only to be stopped by Geet)
"enough..dad right now go take your medications. I am watching you this time. And you! (she looks at Maan) I have made your bed in the guest room. You are sleeping there tonight"
"But Geet..."
"save it Maan..." (she looks at her dad who was standing their laughing) "Dad what are you waitng for? Take your medications. I already yelled at Dadima for hers don't make me do the same with you. Lets go" (She holds his hand dragging her toward the kitchen. Maan slums back on the couch just thinking about spending his day with his kids tomorrow. Its going to be a big nightmare)
