There are at least 3 reasons why he should quit his job-
1. Its not possible even for Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat with the powers of Rajnikanth to manage two full time high stress highly demanding jobs successfully. And taking care of Paro is a 24/7 job requiring complete attention and alertness, high physical endurance to chase her down the streets of random cities.. You really won't have time or energy for anything else
I once had to babysit a 4 year old who IMO has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and i thought that was bad. After seeing Rudra's state I confess, I had it way easier. Plus the kid was extremely amenable to bargains involving chocolates. (OK I'm not proud to have done that, still)
2. BSD no longer pays you for looking after Paro..
3. Last but not the least you've lost the touch.. Once upon a time long long ago when RR had just begun, Major saab used to smell out Paro even from the wilderness of Birpur or deserts of the border. Now he cant keep track of her on the other side of a cab..
Meanwhile Laila baisa's brain works on Windows 98 when the whole world has upgraded to Windows 8 or at least 7. Parud went to Mumbai in train (18+ hrs journey ), survived an encounter with a couple that shall not be named, his hand recovered, survived a fire, renegotiated with the gods and are half way back to Chandangarh and she still is processing what Thakur-sa told her 2.5 days back. Our music director meanwhile has returned from his nostalgic trip to the 90s and has condescended to play some fresh and surprise surprise appropriate BG tracks.. My eyes welled up to hear a song that was not jarring and distracting from the scenes.
Special thanks to the porters who decked up the wooden boxes in a perfect step like pattern so that Major saab could run up there and his phone had good reception to hear to bad news.
A small note to our ML- You are the Male lead and in no competition with the Female Lead. So stop asking for 2 crying scenes for every crying scene she has. Heavy breathing and chest heaving are entirely the territory of the FL. Please dont encroach there. OK kidding, editing dept please do a better job of sound scene synchronization further, that was weird. 😆😆
