Aajkal to zamin se aasman tak platform hee platform hai.
Years ago, really talented people just won inter college music competitions and went home. I am talking about really talented youngsters (Hariharan and Shankar Mahadevan for eg. used to sing at a level much above any of these contestants when students at SIES) who either were never discovered or struggled for years before they were discovered. Kaash aise logon ko platform mil gaya hota, koi bhee platform, Dadar hee sahee.

Yes. Even Kailash Kher got his first break when he was sitting on the Andheri Station at Mumbai waiting for the local train. He did not specify on which Platform he was sitting though. He met some agent there who was impressed with his singing.
