CHAPTER 12
Baldev slowly opened his eyes. He could see a hazy image of bansuri, balwant, gunjan, and ranvi. He looked harder and finally came back to his senses.
Baldev:- Aaah!!
Gunjan:- veer jee.. aap theek toh ho?😕
Bansuri:- Puttar!!! Tu ... tujhe dard ho raha hai ki? Haan? Doctor nu bulaaun mai??
Baldev:- nai beeji ... mai theek hu!😊
Ranvi:- Baldev, tu araam kar..!! bansuri taayi jee hai yaha... Hum bahar jaa rahe hain!
Baldev nodded, and looked around, his eyes were searching for veera, but she wasn't there.
Everyone left the room except bansuri.
Bansuri:- baldev, koi paagal Buddha tha jisne tere upar vaar kiya tha!!! Police pakad ke le gayi hai use!! Bachna nahi hai abb use!!😡
Baldev:- mujhe.. itthe kaun leke aaya beeji?
Bansuri:- vo...vo...vv..veera leke aayi thi tujhe!😔
Baldev's face lighted up.😃
Baldev:- abhi kaha hai vo?😊
Bansuri:- tujhe kya? Hain? Tu araam kar!!😕
Baldev sighed and closed his eyes. This would always take him to his Veera in seconds. The only thing he would dream about was her.
He didn't realize how long he had slept, he opened his eyes thinking it had been just few minutes, but it was late night. There was no-one in his room.
He sat up and looked around. He saw a shadow near the door... Someone was leaning and standing there.
Baldev:- kaun?
No response.
Baldev:- kaun hai?
No response.
He got out of the bed and walked to the door.
He was awestruck to see Veera, still in the same salvaar which she was wearing and her dupatta still having the blood stains.
She was leaning to the side of the door and was in sleep.
Baldev stood there smiling at her, when a strong breeze woke her up!
She looked at baldev and hesitantly looked away!
Baldev was lost in her, he continued staring her, she had definitely grown into a beautiful lady. Perfect features, perfect glow...
Veera looked back at him.
Veera:- tu yaha ki kar raha hai? Jaake araam kar!
She said with her concerned yet cold tone.
Baldev folded his arms and smirked.
Baldev:- aur tu yaha ki kar rahi hai? Mera khayaal rakhne aayi hai?
Veera took a deep breath trying to control all her concern and snap him.
Veera:- NAHI! Mai yaha veer jee ke liye khaana leke aayi thi.. gunjan bhabhi aur vo yahi ruke hain!
Saying this she turned around to leave, but she was stopped as she felt her dupatta was held back by baldev.
She got extreamly nervous at first and then angry.
She turned back to shout at baldev when she saw that her dupatta was stuck on the side of the door.
Veera felt awkward. Baldev smirked and took out her dupatta from where it was stuck... it was still in his hands. He was purposely not leaving it and smirking.
Veera waited for few seconds and then realizing his naughty gesture widened her eyes to show her anger.😡
Baldev smiled and released the dupatta.
Veera turned back and left.
After few days, baldev was back home. He was totally alright now, but he still needed rest.
Roaming in the house, he found the fridge and took out an apple to eat.
"Chali jaa yaha se!! Kyu aayi hai tu yaha??"
He heard bansuri shouting.
Baldev ran to the door to see little aanchal standing with flowers and her face down.
Baldev:- beeji.. aap kyu ise andar nahi aane de rahi?😕
Bansuri:- ye? Ise andar aane du main?? Iss paap ko??😡
Baldev:- paap? Beeji eh ki bahcpana hai? Paap kyu keh rahi hai aap isnu?
Bansuri:- arre puttar tu nahi jaanta... eh ladki apni maa ki paap hai paap!!! Iske baap ka naam kisi ko nahi pata.. kisi ko nahi!😡
Aanchal started crying and a sudden concern made baldev to storm out and carry her in his arms.
Bansuri:- baldev! Matt chhu use!😕
Baldev:- bass beeji!! 😡Inni chhoti si bacchi nu aap iss tarah keh rahi ho!! 😡Iski ki galti hai?😡
Ek shabd nahi sunna mainu abb iske khilaaf!😡
Bansuri opened her mouth to say something but baldev put his palm up which made her quiet.
Baldev took aanchal with him to his room.
She was crying.😭
He made her sit on his bed and himself knelt down.
Baldev:- beta😕... ...uhmmm...Oye!!😃 Chunni bai! Tu ro rahi hai! Kyu hain?😃
Aanchal:- kuch nahi..😭
Baldev:- oho!! Tu royegi toh meri ghar me baadh aa jaani hai!! Fir ki? Hain?😆
Aanchal:- accha baadh yaani flood na..Kyu?😕
Baldev:- abb tu inne saare aansu bahaayegi.. vo kitthe jayenge?😆
Baldev wiped off her tears.
Baldev- chal hum log games khelege theek hai!
Aanchal nodded.
It was evening , baldev wanted to go out and have some fresh air, it was a cool whether, rain was about to come any time., so he was in full preparation with his umbrella
He reached the KV building.
He knew Veera might be there. He went in and peaked through the window to see her. She was busy with papers. With her specs she looked so mature. He sighed.
He was enjoying this time and recalling all their moments earlier when he realized that she was coming out of the door.
He quickly hid himself behind a pillar.
He saw her stand by the the pillar which was next to him. She was looking worried, coz it had started to rain and she was having no umbrella.
Veera:- uff!! abb ki karu mai!!
Baldev wanted to come out and help but he knew that something was wrong and veera would have never accepted his help.
But Veera felt some one's presence next to her.
Veera(thought)- iss vakt? yaha? kaun?...
She widened her eyes as she guess who it was.
Veera:- baldev.! bahar nikal!
Baldev was dumbstruck, he came out of his hiding with a guilty face.
Baldev:- vo mai.. yaha se guzar raha tha toh..
Veera:- eh sab ki hai baldev! abhi bhi baccho jaisi harkate!!
Baldev didn't say anything.
Veera:- tu ghar jaa baldev.
Baldev:- mai toh chala jaunga.. tu bheeg ke jayegi ki?
Veera:- tujhe meri inni chinta kab se hone lagi? tu jaa ... apni zindagi jee...
Saying this Veera stepped out but before she could get wet, baldev came next to her with his umbrella.
Veera looked at him but she was tired of telling him all this. She knew he would not listen.
They walked under the umbrella towards veera's house.
Veera looked at baldev's head, where he was hit. Baldev gave a questioning look to her.
She gave a how-are-you-now look to him and nodded for OK...
"Aankhiyo se hoti hai baate ..
Ye adhoori si mulaakaate..."
They were walking together, but no one was speaking. they were just giving side looks to each other.
"Lab pe khaamoshiyo ka pehra
Dil udaas kahi thehra"
Baldev looked at veera trying to talk to her, but she was stubborn. she was looking straight.
"Kaise samjhaaon tujhe
Hai kya dil me mere..."
"Tum bin aadhe tumse poore..
tum bin hum yaar adhoore..."
Before he could gather courage to talk, they reached the house.
Veera:- thanks.
With that one word she went in. Baldev stood their wondering how will he win her back.
"Baldev tu yaha"
He heard ranvi and turned back.
Baldev:- haa vo ... mai bass.. vo... tu kaha se aa raha hai?
Ranvi:- mai vo bass...
He was looking worried.
Baldev:- kya hua?
Ranvi:- koi nai tu.. ghar jaa naa.. bohot baarish ho rahi hai...
Saying so ranvi hurried to get inside, but before he could do that
"Ranvi maamu!!!!!"
Baldev looked back in shock! 😲
aanchal was running towards ranvi, she was wearing her raincoat. She came to ranvi and hugged him!!
Aanchal:- aap inni jaldi jaldi kyu chalte ho mamu!!!
Ranvi:- aanchal.. andar ja... jaa jaa...
Baldev:- maamu? ranvi? ye... ye veera ki beti hai?
Ranvi hesitantly nodded.
