Detective Conan is one epic anime that is a much watch.

It's been airing for about 16 years now, has 17 movies (18th movie is still unreleased) and a certain number of crossover episodes. But it has never once been 'Boring'.

Here are a few reasons as to why I say the show is a must watch -

• The male lead is ex-tremely smart. And I mean Sherlock Holmes smart, not just smart smart. And he's cute, which is a bonus.
• There are new things to learn in every episode (Never before had I heard of Cyanide)
• The author, Gosho Aoyama can give author's lessons on "New and Improved Ways to get your characters killed!"
• You get patient after waiting for almost 16 years for Shinichi/Conan (The lead) to properly confess to the girl he has been in love with almost all his life.
• There is a host of characters, all who are different. It isn't only the leads you end up shedding tears for.
• Shinichi has got an author for a dad, actress for a mother and a scientist as a neighbor. Really, how can everyday life not be interesting and dramatic for him?
• It matters not if you see the anime or try catching up on the manga, the anime has over 700 episodes and the manga has over 800 chapters. The series is sill ongoing.
• The series mostly focuses on mystery, but there is no lack of humor :)
