The ever smiling Ayesha Takia is unlike her contemporaries. She doesn't hide the fact that she is seeing someone and doesn't mind talking about it too. Let us find out why it is so and also about many more things that she shares with us.
What I found attractive the most in Farhan Azmi was that he was a self-made man. I could see that in his eyes, the strength and the respect he gets for being what he is. I liked the arrogance he carries... which I mean in a good way that 'I have made it on my own whatever I have done in my life' kind. I think no one exactly is the same forever but once you meet each other you realize and learn from each other. You feel the need to change few particular things about self. I got that feeling whenever I was with him. But he had to make the first move. (Laughs)
I don't like to hide my relationship
I think sometimes people hide their relationships here because they are unsure. I have been seeing Farhan for around three years now. In the beginning I didn't tell everybody about it because we didn't want everybody to know about it. We too were not sure to some extent about the future of this relationship but now since we are very much sure and Inshallah we will get married one day, so I don't mind talking about it. I am madly in love with Farhan.
I am happy
For me it is important to keep doing the kind of films I like. Doing a film like Fool N Final, where there are 14 main characters and I don't have a bigger role, still satisfies me. I feel happy in such a set up. It doesn't matter that I am not doing 10 big banner films. I like to live my life on my terms and that is always going to be my way. I am very choosy and very fussy. I take two three days to take a final decision. My first response to everything is always a NO. I am really very complicated in that sense. But then I rethink over my NO and arrive on a YES.
Fool N Final
For the first time I have got a role that has a look that suits my personality. I am wearing baggie pants, ganjees and totally freaking out. I play the role of a thief who is in love with Shahid. The film is very youthful and very 2007. It's a complete laughathon. Sometimes you just want to have fun leaving your brains behind. This film falls into that category.
Matching Paresh Rawal's comic timing
He is a fabulous actor and I think that inspired me more to give in my best to match his standards during the funny moments. I take it as a compliment that I was considered talented enough to be pitched in to match him in FNF.
Me and Shahid
It is my second film with him after Dil Maange More (2004). I think people love our pairing. He is very young and fresh, a fabulous dancer and a very good actor. We did the Complan Ad together as kids. Shahid still reminds me that I used to be very fussy and some kind of a tantrum thrower on the sets during the Complan ad. He tells me I used to behave like a star model. (Laughs)
Three foolish incidents in my life
The first one was when I was four. I went to hug a sleeping dog and he reacted by scratching my lip very badly. That is why I still have this mark near my lips. The second one was when I failed in Maths once. The third one is something that I have done most of the times as an actor and that is screaming for a shot. I find that ridiculously silly. (Laughs)
Kind of films I like to watch
I like entertaining films. Dor is one of my own personal favourite films, but it being so serious, I end up getting emotional at the end of it. So I haven't watched it more than 2-3 times. My family likes such films where they have to think a lot. Farhan likes action films and I have no option but put up with that.
