Domination = Driving, influencing, decision maker, giving direction IMO here.

Okay, do you feel in family or friends, one of spouse dominates the whole living process. Think about it, sometimes men are dominating in household and sometimes women of house.

Question: Do you think dominating atitude by either spouse works in benefit of the household?

1. What role of spouses can help in favor of benefiting the household?

Please avoid Men Vs Women here, also 🀒 things. No quote on this please.

raj i am definitely sure now you are family advisor, can i have your card? πŸ˜† mujhe iski ab bohot zaroorat padegi specially if i have a strict mother in law 😭 😭 😭

well i dont know who dominates who, it all depends on personality if a spouse wishes to be supressed then there is no way one can help not dominating him/her. i have seen couples where women dominates more in decision making, sometimes her one yelling can blow the husband and kids out of the house standing miles away until the wifes gussa is in balance again! and then there are husbands who dominate their wives too, it all depends on personality. then there are couples who work in harmony have seen that too. sometimes if a wife is insecure financially she is supressed too. but talking benefitting from this? may be it does work, otherwise how would some of the marriages survive

Most households have at least one spouse dominating in some way. A perfect household would be where there is a balance but in real world perfect households are rare. A lady who cooks well dominates the kitchen; a man who brings in the dough dominates finances. This dominion is subtle and often doesn't bother the partner.

depends. I am all for mutual respect and equal participation in all decision making. That is what you see a lot now a days at least.

Sometimes, one partner is so timid and gullible that the other is forced to take a dominating role just for the sake of the family. Other than that, both participating equally in decisionmaking is what I personally like.

1. What role of spouses can help in favor of benefiting the household?

whatever role that they need to take to make sure everyone is benefitting and is on track. Be it being a disciplinarian for the kids or a loving, trusting better half for each other. My hubby is good in Math so he helps kids with math and physics where as I take over all other subjects whenever they need help. I am the accountant in the family with a CPA but it's my hubby who does our tax returns as I absolutely detest doing taxes🀒. Thinking about it now I realize that he does do a lot around house.......more than me I thinkπŸ˜• but I started working when we really needed the money despite being a homemaker before that. During hard times, so far, I have been the one who held the whole family together....and boy, did we have some hardest times anyone would face here....so I guess it depends who helps/dominates best where ever his/her skill sets are needed should be the mantra😊

Raj, observe her mom.....chances are she'll be like herπŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

bingo. well-said maya
someone who can discipline kids to develop civic sense better dominate also :) someone like me, who'll make money only for credit card companies to loot me at 18 % APR πŸ˜†.. needs to be dominated by someone with finance brain.

Domination fields should be distributed evenly in order to maintain overall equal status :) One or the other partner is likely to dominate certain decisions, while some decisions like number of children, timing, names could be done with absolute consent and no domination IMO.

within couple each has strength and weaknesses. Couple with common goal will use them to their advantage & make the best decision which will benefit their family.
