Hello my lovelies. I am here to rant today. All of you who loved the episode, please float in your joy bubble away from this thread, I would hate to burst it.😛 No really, I am all for playing in my sandbox and letting you play in yours. Of course, you are more than welcome to post your views if you can do so without indulging in moral policing dashed with condescension, with a hint of patronizing.
Now here goes, my pet peeves with RR in today's episode:
1)Way to ruin a superb plot angle where Tejawat truly loved Mala by showing him torturing her within an inch of her life. Great going, take a bow, NOT. However sinister or evil he was shown to be up until now, you writers always showed him being genuinely in love with Mala. Now I thought that was a super interesting development that this flawed, twisted, psychopath of a man still loved Mala. Truly, madly, deeply. The hamesha wala love. Otherwise there was no reason for him to have held on to this marriage, treat her with so much love and respect, for all these years if she was nothing but a booty call to him. Now imagine how interesting that would have been, he hates her son, but loves her. He wants to destroy her son, but has to risk her happiness with it. That would have given way to conflict. Instead now you have one more of those charcoal black, flat, 2 dimensional villain. I thought Laila was enough, but no, you had to ruin Thakur too. Sheesh.
2) Paro and her bizarre lack of sensitivity when it came to the truth about Rudra's mom. The man just told you the identity of his mother, this may not be the right time to flaunt what a wonderful mother figure his mother has been to you while he was left craving for the same love all his life. Yes giggle, tell him she asked you to call her mommy, that will make him feel better. Paro, darling, you might as well have cut his skin with a knife and then added namak-mirch to it. So much for loving the guy and understanding his pain.
3) Can you please reduce the water works when it comes to Rudra? He cries more than the lead heroine. That is not done. Stop ruining the macho. And no, the real men cry argument doesn't hold. I know men in real life. I do not live in a nunnery the last time I checked. That much crying is abnormal. He is not the first desi hero with mommy issues, every other hero has those. So yeah, please, go easy on the glycerin.
4) Can we please get some more of Aman? I miss his face. He is the only sane person in this show so far. You need for him to be there to balance out the absurdity factor.
There, done, all ranted out. Now you go.
