Hello my lovelies. I am here to rant today. All of you who loved the episode, please float in your joy bubble away from this thread, I would hate to burst it.😛 No really, I am all for playing in my sandbox and letting you play in yours. Of course, you are more than welcome to post your views if you can do so without indulging in moral policing dashed with condescension, with a hint of patronizing.

Now here goes, my pet peeves with RR in today's episode:

1)Way to ruin a superb plot angle where Tejawat truly loved Mala by showing him torturing her within an inch of her life. Great going, take a bow, NOT. However sinister or evil he was shown to be up until now, you writers always showed him being genuinely in love with Mala. Now I thought that was a super interesting development that this flawed, twisted, psychopath of a man still loved Mala. Truly, madly, deeply. The hamesha wala love. Otherwise there was no reason for him to have held on to this marriage, treat her with so much love and respect, for all these years if she was nothing but a booty call to him. Now imagine how interesting that would have been, he hates her son, but loves her. He wants to destroy her son, but has to risk her happiness with it. That would have given way to conflict. Instead now you have one more of those charcoal black, flat, 2 dimensional villain. I thought Laila was enough, but no, you had to ruin Thakur too. Sheesh.

2) Paro and her bizarre lack of sensitivity when it came to the truth about Rudra's mom. The man just told you the identity of his mother, this may not be the right time to flaunt what a wonderful mother figure his mother has been to you while he was left craving for the same love all his life. Yes giggle, tell him she asked you to call her mommy, that will make him feel better. Paro, darling, you might as well have cut his skin with a knife and then added namak-mirch to it. So much for loving the guy and understanding his pain.

3) Can you please reduce the water works when it comes to Rudra? He cries more than the lead heroine. That is not done. Stop ruining the macho. And no, the real men cry argument doesn't hold. I know men in real life. I do not live in a nunnery the last time I checked. That much crying is abnormal. He is not the first desi hero with mommy issues, every other hero has those. So yeah, please, go easy on the glycerin.

4) Can we please get some more of Aman? I miss his face. He is the only sane person in this show so far. You need for him to be there to balance out the absurdity factor.

There, done, all ranted out. Now you go.

Response sheet:

1. Yesterday the forum was flooded with debates regarding Mala. Honestly, I have my own opinion on whether or not she should be forgiven, and to what extent. It differs from the general consensus, so I'll keep it to myself. Now Thakur sa having turned completely black, we can check another character off as being butc- um... not going on a very nuanced path. So him loving Mala becomes irrelevant now.

2. Paro acts as insensitively as an innocent infant. But I'd like to see a little more tact... but who cares what I want to see, right? So yeah. Congratulations on your consistently high TRPs. *applause* (I won't go ranting on my character woes. I have too many issues and then forum members will hate me for life.)

3. I was one of the first people to support R's crying when it happened for the first time. But with each "outburst", the intensity is dwindling. His emotional breakdown is turning to be just another outburst to me. TBH, this time I found his reaction justified. I'd lose it too in the face of Paro's Your-Mommy-Loves-Me-Heehee!

4. 7 khoon maaf if Aman story shapes up well with a good romantic interest. It would be better if the said interest is me.

5. Lailzzz, my lau. You basically told Raja Teju that she'll babble to R and R will come and beat Teju up. You know how smart a move that was? It got you locked up. At least my MoonchCumDimpled hero was kind to explain things before he threw you into the kaalkotri or equivalent lock up.

There. Itna paisa mein itna-ich milenga.

Hahahaha I know, madness is nothing new for desi shows, but at least some semblance of sense is needed na.

How have you been? I gather Onu has given up on RR.😆

I was really happy that Tejawat came back, because I thought he was never coming back... but now with Mala and her physical abuse... I dont see the Tejawat who loved his wife... you can be a bad person but you can still love someone and do anything for them... but they just made him another bad guy.
The CVs couldn't come up with anything better than use Laila to break up Rudra and Paro again...she was just kicked out of the house, how can she re-enter again... and are they still going to make her get married to Sumer? he was also kicked out...
Coming to Paro... I know she gives the benefit of doubt to everyone before accusing... but please when the guy is crying about his mom leaving couldn't she just be with him and not side with Mala until things get better... How can she say that Mala loved Teju before she knew his actual identity... for gods sake Rudra is her son and she was married when she fell in love with another guy...
I think the TRPs are reflecting me when it comes to RR. Its not appealing anymore... not sure if TRPs were the reason that the story changed so much with random tracks which ended soon.

Issh Maa, Eto Raag!

Nao, niye nao amar adorer shotin, ami tomake ajker jonno amar Aman diye dilaam. Give him back, (only slightly used) tomorrow when Rudra plays hunt-the-hottie all around the Haveli with Paro, thus doing the desi version of foreplay, where they take the "play" part of that literally.

😆

PS: regarding the Tejawat abusing Mala angle--I expected that, frankly, given the heavy chloroform usage from three months ago. How long can she stay unconscious ? I mean, there is only so much blindness one can expect from Mala, and she could not have loved him after the reveal. He is a psychopath. His love for Mala was always a reflection of her adoration of him.

He worked to keep Mala in love with him, so he could feel in control, and feel free to "love" her back. But it is not in most people to love someone (and go on loving them) when the person hates them and their beliefs. We cannot expect Tejawat, an avowed maniac, to feel what most normal men do not feel. But since he is a maniac, he goes the extra mile--and hurts the woman he "loved" for no longer loving him, as her punishment for the loss.
