ofcourse u shud never let them think whatever they want about Islam b/c then they will continue to misjudge Islam and spread those misjudgements. Instead, you should try and fix those misjudgements by talking to them, but if that doesn't work, that doesn't mean that you can just start insulting them. By insulting them, you are diverting yourself from your own relgion b/c by insulting them you are going against the basic principles of Islam. You should pray for thier betterment and guidance and Inshallah, Allah (swt) will guide them to the right path.

An example of this would be when the Prophet (s) went to a tribe to spread the word of Islam. Instead of listening to him, the tribe told the children to throw rocks at him. They threw so many rocks at him that his shoes were filled with his own blood. Angel Jabrael (a) came to the prophet and said to him that if he wants to punish these people, Allah (swt) would punish them for him, but instead of punishing them and getting revenge, he started praying to Allah (swt) to guide these people. By being the ummah of Rasoolullah (s) we should try and follow his example in our every day lives.

but how exactly are u asking me to defend my religion, by screaming at them and making them think that the only way Islam will spread is by anger becuase talking to them calmly won't work, which i also know won't work but i still think of it as better.

Hun, i think you misinterpreted my post. Insulting does not mean making fun out of their religion or pointing fingers at their race or for that sake even laugh at the way they do things. I never quite said insult them, i think, i said to stand up for your religion. I am a Hindu Indian and PROUD!!!! I am not saying to pin-point their bad-qualities because they are making fun of you, but like when they say Islam is this🤢...or Islam is that, then don't sit silently, ou have to be a little snappy. I don't think i;m getting my point across very well but basically, you are saying that either make them sit down and listen, which in 99% cases will never happen or let them laugh at you all their life. You chose which ever one is easier for you.😊

Yes, i agree with the fact that most of the time, talking to them calmly won't work, but it's better than screaming at them and making them think that the only way you can understand Islam is by someone screaming about it in your ear. The way both of us are thinking about this issue is from different perspectives. Different things work for different people. There isn't just ONE solution to the problem, there could be many solutions. But the main thing is that we both agree that racism is bad and that we're both on the same page here

Racism occurs in every society, it's sad that it will never be stopped. It does hurt and I have seen it happen, its best that you don't let these comments affect you. Be proud of who you are and don't let these people affect you as they are probably insecure and feel the need to hurt other. Ignore them and they will see that what they say has no effect on you. Be yourself 😊.
