EXCLUSIVE! Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & Katrina Kaif Dine Together

For a long time they were pitted against one another primarily because of the ex' factor. It was said that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was pretty cold towards Katrina Kaif and the reason was the Salman Khan connection. Salman had started dating Katrina after his break-up with Aishwarya which led people to believe that the two ladies didn't exactly see eye to eye. What fuelled the rumours about the alleged rivalry were stories about how Ash ignored' Katrina on the sets of Dhoom:3 in Chicago when the former Miss World had gone to visit hubby Abhishek Bachchan who starred in the film.

However this bit of information may come as a surprise to all rumour-mongers. According to reliable sources, Aishwarya was dining with Katrina at celeb favourite Zuma in Abu Dhabi last week!

The dining' coup took place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 just before Ash flew to Cannes. Katrina of course had been stationed in Abu Dhabi for the shoot of her upcoming action thriller with Hrithik Roshan, Bang Bang. The two lovely ladies apparently walked in at around 10pm, accompanied by a female friend. They stayed on for over two hours at the swish restaurant. Ash and Kat spent time together, chatting and having a conversation over some delicious Zuma classics such as Tuna Tataki, some sushi and miso black cod.

It is still not clear why Aishwarya had a stop-over at Abu Dhabi before she flew to the Cannes Film Festival. Was it because of her delayed trip to France? Ash was supposed to land in Cannes on May 16, 2014 but was held back because of the air traffic controller's strike. But Katrina's case is even more curious. Why and how she bonded with Ash over dinner is quite a mystery!
