Ranveer singh and Anushka Sharma to romance once again

The new generation of actors in Bollywood sure are a professional lot. And that becomes obvious from the fact that their hook-ups or break-ups don't affect the business that their movies do. Deepika Padukone who gave a massive hit - Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewaani - in 2013 with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor was also part of the 100 crore-grosser Ram Leela with current beau Ranveer Singh. The movies released a few months apart. While YJHD released in May, Ram Leela hit the screens in November 2013. With the movies releasing in such quick succession, there was a lot of speculation whether Deepika's movie with her current romantic interest would do more business than the one with the ex.

Luckily for her, both movie did fabulous business and her chemistry with both - Ranbir and Ranveer - worked big time.

THEN AND NOW:
Deepika has now signed Imtiaz Ali's next titled Tamasha with Ranbir, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani with Ranveer. And looks like Ranveer has taken a leaf out of her book. The actor will be seen opposite his former girlfriend Anushka Sharma in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. Ranveer and Anushka got close during the making of Band Baaja Baaraat (2010). Though the two didn't openly admit to their relationship, Ranveer was very vocal about his fondness for his co-star. They also appeared together on Koffee With Karan. Post the success of Band Baaja Baaraat, they acted together in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011). But the movie failed to work at the box office. Speaking about their relationship in an earlier interview with After Hrs, Anuskha had said, "I can talk for myself. We did two films together, one after the other consecutively so we were spending a lot of time together. But I have never dated him. He was a friend. That's about it. I don't know why he would speak that way. I think he is over expressive." Rumour had it that the couple broke-up sometime post the release of Ladies vs Ricky Bahl.

MOVIES COME FIRST:
Now, three years later they will face the camera again for Zoya's movie. People are already speculating whether their chemistry in the movie, which will release in 2015, will be as good as it was when they were seeing each other. Speaking about working with Anushka, Ranveer said, "I believe she has just finished NH10 in Jodhpur, she will be joining us on the ship little bit later, where we have slotted some time for readings and prep before we start shooting our scenes. I am really looking forward to collaborating with her again. She's one of the best young actors of the country, its been a long break since I have worked with her. I am very excited to be collaborating with her again, because I believe we share amazing chemistry as actors and she's a wonderful person." But with Zoya as the director of the movie (she made the successful ensemble-cast movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) there shouldn't be much reason to worry whether their chemistry will be as crackling as it used to be. Now it remains to be seen whether luck favours him, a la Deepika, and his movies with his current and ex girlfriend do good business at the box office.

Romancing Deepika
Ranveer Singh, who has signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani with Deepika Padukone, will also be seen playing Deepika's husband as part of a special appearance opposite for Homi Adajania's Finding Fanny Fernanades. While FFF will release in September this year, Bajirao Mastani is expected to hit the screens in December 2015. Meanwhile, Ranveer-Anushka starrer Dil Dadakne Do is slated to release in June 2015.
