he is giving a example of his life that marriage is difficult when there is no love(ishita)...a man becomes too lonely w/o love from his wife(ishita)...once he got betrayed by the person he loves(shagun)...its difficult to trust another person(ishita)

a mixture of shagun and ishita...but mostly his wife...he is hinting towards that he wants love from his wife...he is too lonely...

Actually I think that the entire speech was based on Raman and Shagun. The old Raman knew that he was in a love-less relationship with Shagun and he still tried to please her in any which way he could. I'm sure the poor guy knew that Shagun was "smitten" by Ashok but he still stayed quiet because he thought that he could still win her over, through some hard work. 🤔

Through his speech, Ishita's expression to me was realization as to how broken Raman was on he inside😭...the fact that he wasn't always a "pattar dil" and once upon a time, he did believe and was able to love completely. Ishita can also relate because she had so much faith and hope in Subbu and he also just left her and it wasn't even her fault. 😒

It's a new side to IshRa's relationship. 👍🏼

Totally agree with IPKKNd moments, perfectly said, his still very scared by what happened to him, he was trying to make tons on understand the pain of a loveless marriage, of a broken heart and how that can ruin a person and their trust and ability to give love another chance. He may be over shagun but that scar is still their hurting. And insu like IPKKND said from her face ishu seemed to realize or atleast get a hint as to what raman is feeling, his pain. And ishu in the precap was the same telling to Tondon how it can take so long for someone to mend ones heart ones it broken and so forth. Cvs amazing for those dialogues of ishus and ramans broken past.
