Sonakshi keen to be a part of Gowariker's Mohenjo-daro

Katrina Kaif who is the frontrunner for Ashutosh Gowariker's upcoming period drama, MohenjoDaro, featuring Hrithik Roshan, seems to have some stiff competition from Sonakshi Sinha.
Mirror has learnt that the Lootera actress met Gowariker recently and expressed interest to be a part of his mega project.

Revealed a source close to the actress, "Sonakshi had an over hour-long meeting with Ashutosh a few days ago and discussed the intricacies of the role. She is quite kicked about the part as it is something she hasn't attempted yet."

The source added that the role will also give Sonakshi an opportunity to work with Hrithik an actor she is yet to share screen space with. "Hrithik has already been confirmed. If Ashutosh locks Sonakshi, it will be the first time the two will be seen as a jodi on screen." Asked what Gowariker thinks about Sonakshi, the source said: "The role requires the leading lady to look exotic, but in a very Indian way. Sonakshi looks the part. However, Ashutosh will take a final call once he wraps up the TV show on Mt Everest, which he is producing."

Sonakshi and Ashutosh remained unavailable for comment.
