Workers printing the new Harry Potter book are apparently being forced to work in "total darkness" to prevent leaks of the new novel. Staff at Poessneck's GGP print factory have also been threatened with the sack if any copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows go walkabouts and are searched before and after completing their shifts.
Cars are also being combed going to and from the site in the lead up to the book's release on July 21, in an attempt to head off a lucrative pirate industry around the Harry Potter phenomenon. We would make some kind of Basil Fawlty joke about Germans and security, but we're far too European for that now.
