You are right! She will never go against her family, and this might be the sticking point. She will marry the man Ratan wants her to marry coz she loves her mother more than anyone else in the world. Maybe even more than her Veerji. So if she thinks that Ratan wants her to marry someone SHE has in mind for her, then she will kill her emotions to please her mother!!

Then I want a "Dil chata hain" type scene (where Aamir proposes to Preeti's character on the day of her Sangeet to another guy), to happen where Baldev comes to her engagement party or some function and does a big Thamasha and tells Veera in front of everyone that he loves her and wants to marry her. He will say that he knows she loves him too! Then Ratan asks her like Preeti's father did if this is true? (Preeti aka Shalini was marrying the son of her adoptive parents coz they brought her up when her parents died. The dad's were business partners. Even though she loved Akash, she felt indebted to them and didn't want to say no to them). Just like that scene, I want Ratan to tell Veera that if she wants to pay her debt to her then she should follow her heart! Marry Baldev and pay her debt!!

That scene was the best scene in the movie in my opinion. When her dad tells her that she will have to repay them for their love, their care, their devotion to her! He says "if you want to pay this debt, if you want to make me happy, then marry Akash"! He then turns to Aamir and says "inka hayaal rakna, yeh Meri beti hain"!! The BEST scene! So I want a scene like that between Ratan and Veera! A real mother daughter scene in front of the whole world!! We will ALL cry buckets of course!!

I think bansuri will lead first to seek rishtas for Ballu
