The year almost halfway through saw a host of Bollywood releases. Films like 'Queen, Ragini MMS 2, Two States' were received well by the audiences while films like 'Gunday, Yaariyan, Gulaab Gang didn't do pretty well. Reports show that out of the total number of releases in the 2014 so far, the number of flops outnumber the number of super-hits. There are a number of films slated to release in the other half of the year.

Here's a list of 9 films that we suspect won't disappoint audiences.

1) Happy New Year
An action-comedy film by Farah Khan slated to release this Diwali (23 October) will see Sharukh Khan and Deepika Padukone playing the lead. The Om Shanti Om jodi will take the audiences on a laughter ride with a wonderful supporting cast which includes Boman Irani, Abhishek Bachan and new-comer Vivaan Shah.

2) Bang Bang
An action-thriller film with Hritik Roshan and Katrina Kaif playing the lead is a remake of the Hollywood flick Knight and Day. The film which is directed by Siddharth Raj Anand will release on October 2.

3) Bombay Velvet
This film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables' which talks about how the city became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music. The film which is directed by Anurag Kashyap will release on November 28.

4) Kick
This Salman Khan action thriller will release on July 25. This film is directed by Sajid Nadiawala and is a remake of a Telugu film with the same name.

5) P.K. (Peekay)
This satirical film which is directed by Rajkumar Hirani will hit theatres on December 19. The film which is about Hindu Gods and their Godmen stars Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead role.

6) Untitled Mary Kom biopic
The yet untitled biopic based on Olympic winning Indian boxer Mary Kom will see Priyanka Chopra playing the lead. The movie slated to release on October 2, is directed by Omung Kumar and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

7) Haider
A film based on William Shakespeare's Hamlet and set in Kashmir will hopefully turn out to be a masterpiece of an old english classic story with a desi twist. Shahid Kapoor, Tabu and Shraddha Kapoor are among the lead cast of the film. The film which is written and directed by celebrated director Vishal Bharadwaj will release on October 2.

8) Bobby Jasoos
A film starring Vidya Balan in the lead, Bobby Jasoos is a 'pacy dramedy'. The film is slated to release on July 4 and is directed by Samar Shaikh. The story would revolve around Vidya who will be playing the role of a lady detective and one will see her disguised in various avatars throughout the film.

9) Amit Sahni Ki List
This movie which stars comedian Vir Das in the lead will release on July 18. The movie which is a romcom is directed by Ajay Bhuyan. The movie is a must-watch for all Vir Das fans and they very well know why.
