Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes stunning entrance at Cannes Film Festival

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has made her much-anticipated arrival at the 67th Cannes Film Festival.

The actress was supposed to make her first red carpet appearance on Sunday, but it was delayed due to a strike by French traffic controllers.


Attending the red carpet premiere of Deux Jours, Une Nuit, Rai Bachchan looked statuesque in a gold, strapless Roberto Cavalli fishtailed dress.

#AishwaryainCannes has been trending on Twitter, with fashion commentators and fans celebrating her arrival at the world famous film festival.

There as an ambassador for L'Oreal, it is the actress's 14th appearance on the Riviera.

Rai Bachchan will also attend the annual amfAR charity dinner for AIDS awareness.


The 40-year-old earlier joined her fellow L'Oreal ambassadors Eva Longoria and Freida Pinto for a photo shoot.

It was recently announced that she is to make her cinema comeback with Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa.

In an exclusive interview with Digital Spy at the prestigious film festival last year, Rai Bachchan said motherhood had not altered her aspirations as an actor.
