I think Preetika left early.
In the end of yesterday's episode, when Aaliya was sleeping and Zain was writing the love letter, they only showed her sleeping from behind.
And when they showed her face, it was from the old scene.
It was the scene where Aaliya sleeps on the couch as she is angry with Zain for yelling at her after their date.
So I guess she wasn't there when they shot that and that's why they merged it with the old scene.
